NOUN: The thin, flat muscle forming the wall of the cheek.
ETYMOLOGY:Latin buccintor, trumpeter (from its being the chief muscle used in blowing), from buccintus, past participle of buccinre, to blow a horn, from bcina, buccina, horn, trumpet. See gwou- in Appendix I.
