2.5 Assignment: Course Project Stage 2—System Investigation and Development A stakeholder is vital to the success of the company. These individual groups are interested in or will be affected by the project. An article explains "that these stakeholders offer unique qualities and viewpoints and diversely contribute to the success of a project, but simultaneously possess contrasting interests." (Article View – Modern Project Management, n.d.) "To keep everyone invested in your vision, you have to back up a little bit and really analyze who the different stakeholders are and what they individually respond to," said Allen Stern, an American scientist( Stern, 2016). Each stakeholder plays a central part or position in the system development lifecycle. Some stakeholders are crucial in decision-making, while others may undermine the project. Notably, they may be against the vision of the plan. An author explains that transparency considers two categories of information: one related to "Financial aspects of a company's life and one which considers the non-financial life of a company, in terms of relations with stakeholders, environment, and society as a whole." (Article View – Modern Project Management, n.d.) The list of stakeholders would be categorized into two groups: Internal and external.
