9/11 Tragedy

Osama Bin Laden was the most wanted man in the world, after the attacks of September 11. On September 11 2001 two planes crashed in to the Twin Tower, another plane crashed in to the pentagon, and another crashed into a field on rout to the nation’s capital, killing three thousand people mainly civilians. (Benson) Hours after the attacks the CIA and FBI stared a search to find who was responsible for the attack; with in the day they found that the terrorism group al-Qaeda was the brains behind the operation. With extensive research American FBI came to the understanding that Osama Bin Laden was the leader of an anti-American terrorism group al-Qaeda group and ordered for the attack. (Benson) After the Bush declared to war on terror (the war to end terrorism) in September 2001 he appointed the CIA and FBI to start the search for Bin Laden, the search started October 2001. (Benson) Shortly after Obama was elected in to office in 2008 he made finding Bin Laden the top of the priority list (Obama). The search for al-Qaeda leader Osama Bin Laden took ten years after extensive CIA research and the brave efforts of seal team six.

Many people do not know what exactly happened on this day and are left short of very many important details that happened on this day. One of the details that some Americans do not know is that there were four crashes that happened on this day due to the hijacking of the planes by Al-Qaeda. There were four airplane crashes this day that occurred at different times in different locations. The first airplane to take off was American Airlines Flight 11 (a Boeing 767) at approximately 7:59 a.m. It was departing Boston’s Logan International Airport and was headed to Los Angeles with 92 people aboard it. The next airplane to leave was Flight 175 (also a Boeing 767) that departed the airport at 8:14 a.m and left the airport to Los Angeles with 65 passengers on board. After that, at 8:20 a.m., American Airlines Flight 77 (a Boeing 757) left Washington Dulles International Airport with 64 people on board and it was also headed for Los Angeles. The first plane crash occurred at 8:46 in the morning. This was Flight 11 and it crashed into the North Tower of New York’s World Trade Center. Next, it was Flight 175 that crashed. This happened at approximately 9:03 in the morning and this affected the South Tower of the World Trade Center. Next, it was then Flight 77 that crashed into the Pentagon, located in Washington, DC. On May 2nd, 2011, the people of the United States awoke to some of the best news they would hear for many years to come; Osama bin Laden had been killed. President Barack Obama delivered the message at 7:30AM and the country was buzzing about it for weeks after. Osama bin Laden was a name that every American man, woman, and child knew. On 9-11-01, four planes were hijacked by terrorists and crashed into strategic locations to sow chaos, confusion, death, and destruction into the American people. 2,977 innocent Americans died on that fateful day, and the man who decided they should die and be subject to terror was Osama bin Laden. Since that fateful day, America has donated massive amounts of time and money to find Osama, and bring him to justice. However, time and time again he evaded capture and kept us chasing him.

On September 11th, 2001 the worst attack on American soil happened.Four planes were hijacked in a terrorist attack. During this event, all hijacking attempts were successful except one. The first two planes hit the twin towers in New York City. Then another plane hit the Pentagon near Washington D.C. The last hijacked plane was heading to Washington, D.C. to attack the capital. This attack however was not successful. This was due to several brave Americans on board who crashed the plane in a field in Pennsylvania. An important event that is known to be so far the most tragic attack in American history, it left Americans with a constant fear of another terrorist attack, this tragic event is known as 9/11. This tragedy occurred when an Islamic group known as al-Qaeda attacked the World Trade Center in New York City. Al-Qaeda’s leader was Osama bin Laden, a Saudi fugitive seeking retaliation for America’s involvement in the Persian Gulf War, its support of Israel, and the military’s constant presence in the Middle East. Their plan to invade America began on the morning of September 11, 2001 when 19 militants hijacked 4 American Airline planes and were targeting attacks in the United States.

On September 11,2001, disaster struck. Al-Qaeda hijacked 4 different planes. The first plane he hijacked was headed to the north tower of The World Trade Center. The second plane was headed to the south tower of The World Trade Center. The third plane was headed to the Pentagon. The fourth and final plane was headed to the White House.

The 9/11 terrorist attack is known as the worst in American History. A normal day on September 11th, 2001, nineteen terrorist from the Islamic terrorist group al-Qaeda prepared to hijack four planes. Two planes were flown into New York City hitting the towers of the World Trade Center. A third plane flew just right outside of Washington, D.C hitting the Pentagon. The last plane crashed into a field in Pennsylvania. All attackers got on to the planes safely and were prepared to take their own lives and the lives of others (a suicide attack).

More than 3,000 people died during the 9/11 incident. Two planes crashed into the Twin Towers, one into the Pentagon, and one failed to reach its destination, this lead to it crashing into a field on September 11, 2001. Due to our christian beliefs, radical islamists attacked the United States on this sad September day. This day lead to many lives lost, health concerns, along with many emotional issues.

The attacks of 9/11 was an act of terrorism that happened in New York. Two airplanes crashed into the World Trade Center in New York, one into the Pentagon in Virginia, and another one crashed into a field in Pennsylvania intended to strike in Washington D.C. Three thousand civilian lives were lost that day. It was said by Al-Qaeda group, Osama Bin Laden that the purpose of 9/11 terror was to take revenge for the United States. The typical morning which turned out the historical tragedy terror in the world, created victims by the terror, that have disturbed the peace everyone in the world. It was the start of revenge from United States to Al-Qaeda.

Two of the hijacked planes were flown into the World’s Trade Center in New York City. The third plane hit the Pentagon in Washington D.C. September 11, 2001, was a day that started like any other day. Businessmen and women, prepared for work, went for another day of work. Children went to school for another day of learning. However, before the morning of people's everyday lives could begin a tragic event occurred, affecting many lives! The incident of September 11, 2001, was a series of four coordinated terrorist attacks by the Islamic terrorist group Al-Qaeda, on the United States. The purpose of attacks was to target symbolic U.S. landmarks. While these attacks will be in our hearts forever, the effects are felt in other ways as well. The 9/11 attacks have left a very negative impact on our society.

The involvement of America in Iraq and Afghanistan was ill-timed, and it was not the best way to respond to the 9/11 attack by Osama Bin Laden. The rationale of the Bush administration to invade Iraq was that Saddam Hussein had supported Osama Bin Laden’s attacks. However, this claim made no sense going by the fact that Osama had nothing but disdain for the peculiar regime of one Saddam Hussein. Additionally, the complaint by the Bush administration that Saddam Hussein was hiding dangerous weapons of mass destruction turned to be false since the administration had no evidence to prove it. It later came to be known that President Bush had given an order to officials of the United Nations investigating the regime of Saddam Hussein for weapons
