Since I started my high school journey, every year I have been asked countless time, what career would I like to pursue after high school. I knew from elementary school what I always wanted to do. My career vision is to one day become an elementary school teacher, then climb the ladder to become an awesome school principal. My educational aspirations consist of acquiring a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the prestigious, historical Tougaloo College. I chose to become a teacher because I firmly believe children are the future of the world. I have been questioned countless times as to why I chose to become an educator. I chose a career that I know would contribute to society. I know I would help young people become the next doctors,
I believe that education is the key in developing today’s students into tomorrow’s leaders. Education is the basis on which individuals develop their self-concept and the desire to become more knowledgeable. I want to become an educator because I am interested in helping elementary students become active learners and also to assist with their social skills. I believe I can make a difference to many students as they start their educational foundation. I feel that all teachers should possess the desire to devote their hard work and efforts to their students’ educational success. I view teaching as not only one of the most respected careers, but also as one in which the rewards are great and many
I have had a lifetime goal to attend college, it just didn’t happen early in life. When I first came to CCU, there was no doubt that getting my bachelors in early childhood would be my major. My passion has always been young children. It started when I babysat as a young teenager and has continued in my life as a preschool teacher. Education is constantly changing: therefore, I feel I need to have more knowledge and wisdom to be the best teacher possible. Education is by far one of the most important tools to have a successful life. With diligence, I want to be a leading educator and to be a gateway for my students to learn. It’s exhilarating how many lives a teacher will touch each day. A teacher has the power to reach out and make learning a positive and memorable experience for every child. Furthermore, teachers are one of the first caregivers for young children. Although I am not at the beginning of my career, while at CCU, I will grow in faith, help and learn from others, and strive to graduate with honors.
Senioritis is hard for some people and for some people is easy. Many people find because they are worried about going to college and they have some other problems in their life. Many for us starts worrying about like summer vacation, like oh I am going to be senior this year what am going to do and all this. Many people are worried because they think that way, I am not going to be here next here and what am going to do after high. Has an example If you finished middle school than you still know that you are going to some different school, but like after high school your life is start to being in a different way. You have to worried about you careers and yourself. Some student they don’t know how to deal with in senior year and after graduation it’s pretty hard for them.
“Why do you want to teach?” This infamous question is a pivotal one that I have been asked countless times during my collegiate years. Since youth, my parents’ way of life has inspired me to become a teacher. My father was never properly educated. Rather than going to school full-time, he decided to work to help my grandmother financially. Although he did attend school a few days a week, he never had the support of teachers or family to make education a priority. As a result, he grew up illiterate and lacking the essential skills of reading and writing. The fact that my father never received proper education and lacked a solid supportive learning environment has inspired me to pursue a career in education. I would like to help change the way students easily throw in the towel at school due to family burdens and social circumstances. My mom also inspired me to become a teacher because her career field exposed me to younger children and birthed a love for giving, helping, and motivating children to explore. My mother owned several preschools since I was seven years old. I grew up interacting with a variety of children that attended her
Sneaking up on me, the end of my senior year is starting appearing, the most frequent question I get asked is,” What are you going to do after high school?” That question for me isn't a hard one--in fact, it is rather easy. At the age of 10, I knew I wanted to become some type of teacher, or someone in the medical field, I didn't know what exactly. At the age of 15 I was in an accident that helped me realize what I wanted to become.
I always thought I would be a teacher and I would make differences in lives and it would be the greatest experience in the world for me, yet being a teacher wasn’t enough, I had a need to expand my education. I decided that perhaps I needed a new career, however, I felt certain education remained my passion. I began to explore new areas of education and I realized I still want to be a member of a classroom, a school and curriculum. I aspire to guide those leading our classrooms.
Good morning, Class of 2020. First and foremost, I’d like to congratulate all of you on a successful and memorable middle school career. To what can we attribute our success, and how can we define it? Yes, our clubs, sports teams, and music ensembles achieved phenomenal rankings, and our students perform exceptionally. However, Robert Muller once wrote: “What the world needs most is openness: Open hearts, open doors, open eyes, open minds, open ears, open souls”.
There are multiple steps that I must take in my life so that I am able to be a successful person after high school. In addition, I will also use all the tools and tricks my parents have taught me my whole entire life. I feel that my parents have helped me prepare greatly and I will be perfectly good for what my upcoming future holds for me. I will explain how I make correct decisions on what houses, cars, the way I pay bills with either a credit card or cash in hand, and with lots more to come which you will have to wait and see what it is.
Career college preparation typically involves various amounts of post-secondary curricula, just as any traditional college and university would. However, suppose after a considerable investment of resources, one’s misgivings lead to an about-face and a college or university’s doorstep. Might some of those education credits in the career college carry eligibility for transfer where they count for college credit? Generally speaking, unless articulation agreements between subject institutions exist beforehand, salvaging previous curricula probably fares poorly and tenuous at best. And for this reason alone, students find themselves saddled with substantial debt and proprietary education of little value elsewhere. Not to mention the term “college”
There are a lot of things I want to accomplish before my high school career has finished. Academic wise, I would want to be able to say I got honours all four years. Also, I want to at least get one individual school award. In terms of sports, I want to win a gold medal at OFSAA for Track and Field. I want to run sub 21 seconds in the 200m and sub 46 seconds in the 400m by the end of my senior year. I would want at least one athlete of the year award under my belt as well. I would want to experience at least 3 more new countries and work at least 1 job by 2020. I don’t know for sure what I want to do when I grow up, but I am very intrigued to be a personal trainer or fitness trainer. I have a passion for sports and healthy/ active living,
Coming into high school, you’ll begin to hear “what do you want to do after high school?” When I was asked this, I was undecided on whether I was going to a secondary school to further my education or if I wanted to go a different route and go straight into a work field of my choice. During my high school journey and as it begins to end, I’ve concluded that I want to further my education and go to college. The career field I chose to pursue in college is a career in Social Work, mainly Healthcare Social Work. Social work is a helping profession; its main priority is to improve a society’s overall well-being. Healthcare social work is no different than any other type of social work; they are just known for being in hospital
College students do not meet current qualifications to land a job in their career of choice. This is because students lack in areas that are not always implemented in college such as critical thinking, problem-solving skills as well as communication and interpersonal skills to name just a few skills college students do not encompass. College students who do have the required skills to take on a professional job after graduation are more likely to be more successful. However, since most students lack in these skill areas, it is assumed by employers that they do not have enough experience to take on a large role resorting to part-time jobs and underemployment. Students must then figure out a way to make the last four years at college count by
Whether or not you know which career path you will be headed down, college is a rather terrifying journey to begin and the concept is made even more daunting when you realize that you are on your own. I, myself, have already come to terms with this fright, but that by no means makes it any less of a challenge to deal with. To make my experience less of a fumble through a dark room, so to speak, I chose a career path to help light my way that I know I will love; Design. Now, I have dabbled in the arts my entire life, from teaching myself the basic anatomy of animals to how to blend colored pencils and shade with a pen. However, that does not make me a professional, not by a long shot. Taking these design classes, especially Design 183, I hope
Christine Gregoire said the famous quote, “Education is the foundation upon which we build our future.” It is because of this premise that I have chosen my career path. I don’t want to be a bystander of what the future holds. I want to participate in its creation. Education gives me that chance - that choice - to be more than just a witness of our future. In other words, teaching is a method by which a single person can influence a room full of bright minds to be more than just bystanders. That is how the future is made.
The business world is one of the fiercest, harshest, and most rewarding career paths a student can begin. Most people know that to have a successful career, a person needs a vast network of professional contacts. A person needs connections with people and companies to be able to obtain great job opportunities. The ability to create my own network of contacts among the Chicago business world is an aspect that interests me to the University of Illinois at Chicago Business Scholar program. The program takes its alumni to tours around the Chicagoland area to meet with corporations and the corporate leaders. To gain knowledge of the career opportunities in the Chicagoland area, interests me to join the program. I also want to learn from the experts
