That is what happened in the movie Freedom Writers. Erin Gruwell is the white teacher and the students are class 203 of Woodrow Wilson High School. In “Being Prey” Plumwood ignores the warning “don’t go onto the main river”, because she ignores this warning she is attacked by a crocodile lurking there. Plumwood also ignores the warning not to exit her canoe on the riverbank, while nothing bad happens because of this action she still ignored the warning. Some differences between the two protagonists are that at the end of “A Sound of Thunder” Eckles ends up losing his life because of his actions. However in “Being Prey” Plumwood suffers injuries, however doesn’t lose her life because of her actions. In the beginning of the book Sookan is not very courageous, for example when the sock girl were being taken away she nothing but stand there watching. "I knew better than to go outside" (Pg.60 Choi) This event changed Sookan, because she starts getting more courageous later on in the book she will need that.

Fear can be destructive in different ways for different people. In the book Things Fall Apart, by Chinua Achebe, Okonkwo has to go through quite a bit of destructive fear. Some of his destructive fear is making sure he doesn't become anything like his father, seeing his father in his son, and the change in the village.

Carter never really had a home to call his as his whole life he pretty much living out of a suitcase. He was always traveling cause his dad was Egyptologist and was always going somewhere else to study new things. Carter never really had the lifestyle Sadie did actually they were like complete opposite as Sadie lived in a house and went to school. Carter was suppose to be homeschooled but the only thing his dad really taught him was about Egypt and things along that line. Carter had a very good relationship with his dad and had a lot of respect for him and listened to everything he taught and told him. When Carter lost his dad it had to of been hard as that has been the person right next to him his whole life. When Carter has a lot of guts to do some of the things he’s done. Carter throughout this book has proven himself to be brave and everyone has seen it besides him. Bravery is a bold word and people who earn to be described that word is people like heros. Carter is definitely a hero too especially to Sadie even though she doesn't like to show it. Being brave is something to be proud of and Carter just hasn't figured it out yet.

Bravery, some might think of it as stupidity, some might think it to be a daring act for any reason; and they would both be partially correct. Others who have witnessed and felt real bravery flow through their veins in a rush of adrenaline, fear, and courage, know that bravery is something special that not all people posses. Of course, there is a fine line between stupidity and bravery, and I mean very thin. Bravery is something that does not necessarily come easy, especially for the weak of heart or narrow minded. Bravery is signing up to fight for your country/tribe in times of war against a fierce enemy; or rising up in arms, facing the possibility of death in sacrifice for your family or for something you believe in.

What characteristics do you hold within yourself? How do you express these characteristics as a human? Well let's talk about what some characters do in Diamond Boy Michael Williams in order to express themselves through characteristics. We will talk about Patson Moyo, Mr.Boubacar, and Chipo. Patson Moyo was brave and so was Chipo bravery is what carries someone through difficult and hard times which is exactly what these to were doing. Then there's Mr.Boubacar the sympathetic person who is always looking out and caring for others. These characters are brave and sympathetic and all around one of a kind people.

Safari Inc. didn't make a screening test to help prepare the Eckles for the hunt. Therefore, Eckles didn't know how to control himself in such dangerous circumstances. When the dinosaur was running towards them, he did not know what to do, so without even knowing, he stepped off the path. Which made Travis so mad to the point that he shot Eckles.

Bravery can mean a lot of things to a lot of different people. Some people might think bravery is mainly stupidity, but I can promise you it’s plenty more than that. In order to achieve anything you must be brave enough to fail. Be bold, be brave enough to be your true self. If it wasn’t for brave people in this world there is no telling where we might be right now. Everyone Is brave in their own way. While some people think bravery means giving up and laying down or being scared to face your fears, to me it means that it’s a strive that keeps you going no matter what life throws at you.

I think David is Brave. I think David is brave because whenever he was in the ship he guy came down and David just stood there. Another one is when he escaped the camp and the two guys were “yelling at David” and David just stood there.The last one is when the guy lost his glasses and David just got out of the bushes and helped the man find his glasses. David is also brave because when he is in all these other towns he doesn’t know if half the people there are guard or people that are very judgeful.

Edgar Albert Guest's poem “Courage” says discusses less of what courage means, and more what it is, how it changes a person. Guest explains that “Courage isn't a brilliant dash, a daring deed in a moment's flash;It isn't an instantaneous thing, born of despair with a sudden spring. I think, especially the part where he says; “That is also working to serve some plan.” Even when you don't need the courage inside you, it's moving and alive. You are saving it up, storing it, it's making you stronger every day, so that when you need to brave your foes and fears, you have the ability to pull out and

In Merriam Webster's Dictionary, the definition of bravery is “the quality or state of having or showing mental or moral strength to face danger, fear, or difficulty." Being brave, to me, means that you’re fearless, bold, and daring. Nothing holding you back, and nothing is going to get in your way.
