World War 2 was the largest and most deadly war in history. The first world war had happened just two decades prior of the second world war and it was also a very gruesome war. At least thirty countries were involved in this global conflict and fifty million lives were taken as a result of the war including many civilian lives. This war would soon become known as the most gruesome war in all history as it took the lives of countless people across the world. The war began when the Nazi leader of Germany, Adolf Hitler, invaded Poland. The war lasted for six long years until finally the Allied powers were able to defeat Germany and Japan in 1945. One of the components of war that make it justful is that the cause of the war must be just. In other words, the attacking country must inflict lasting, grave, and certain damage for it to qualify as just to fight back. Also if basic human rights are being violated by a group of people then it is just for another entity to decide to go to war to free the victims of the inhumane aggressors and their torments upon the innocent human beings. In World War 2 there was most definitely a just reason to go to war for the United States. That reason was that on December 7, 1941 the Japanese launched a surprise attack on the American naval base located in Pearl Harbor and ended up killing about two and a half thousand Americans in the process including the lives of one thousand civilians.
