The artifact is a fundraiser flyer I created using Microsoft Word. The fundraiser was created to not only to unite the school and community but to raise donation for the annual eighth grade field trip to New York City. The document exhibits my proficiency in word art, clip art, and the use of a template. I was able to change front color, outline a border, and insert pictures to the flyer. In creating this fundraiser flyer, I demonstrated that I know how to “contribute to the effectiveness, vitality, and self-renewal of the teaching profession and of their school and community.”
The Nowland ED Tech Portfolio website was created on weebly.com which is a model of one I might use for my future classroom. The creation of this artifact is an excellent tool in keeping parents and students well informed on class expectations, class events, and/or weekly homework assignments. With the use of a weebly.com template, I was able to insert and create hyperlinks to my blog, and file page. In addition, I created back buttons that restores the user to their previous page. By creating this artifact, I showed that I can “evaluate and reflect on current research and professional practice on a regular basis to make

The blog was created using Blogger.com found in my Goggle+ email account. Over a period of four months, I posted and commented on educational tools that technology can bring to a classroom. In addition, I embedded videos and a fun Voki. There are a number of ways which I could use this weblog. The blog can be used to inform students and parents about classroom activities, or I can create a weblog displaying interesting lesson plans for my peers to utilize. By creating this artifact, I meet Standard 1 by “model(ing) collaborative knowledge construction by engaging in learning with students, colleagues, and others in face-to-face and virtual
My artifact is a necklace and it’s so unique and important to me because it has my name on it. And it’s so beautiful, in the middle there is my name with Arabic letters it’s so old so I don’t wear it any more but it still my favorite on of all. I allow keep it in a small box in my bed room near to me so that nobody will play or touch it. I get it when I was 11 years old from a special people in a special event. It from my family they give it to me as a present when I pass my sixth grad, I was so happy that day and until now every time I look at it I remember how hard I worked to pass that school year. It also my first necklace in my life I keep it until now because I love my family. When I feel upset or depressed I tack it out and keep
Over the course of my analysis I learned a great deal about this artifact using each method individually. However, I believe the biggest impact of this analysis comes from looking at the findings of the two types of criticism combined.
The main goals of the assignment was to introduce myself and articulate a challenge relating to one of the modes of written, oral, visual, electronic, or non-verbal communication.
It was time to put all of the research I had done in the form of an exhibit. Before doing the exhibit, I made a layout of what was most probably going to go on my final poster. Even though I had the layout, I still encountered some problems. I would have had run into so many more problems if I hadn’t done the layout, so I am glad that I did it. Right before putting my project together, I quickly went to the store to get the materials like the poster board, glue, clay for the artifacts, etc. Now that I had all the materials, I was finally set to complete the enormous project. One of the problems I encountered was that I didn’t have enough room on my poster board for everything that I needed. Because of this, I decided to reprint some of the items, so that I could fit everything. Another problem I ran into was that I could not fit my title on one page, so I decided to print it on multiple pages and just glue them together. After I was finished with cutting and pasting, I realized that I did pretty well. I also realized that after I finished my project that I did not have to color the sketch of a train that I drew because most of my pictures were black and white anyway. After finishing my poster board, I had to create my 3D artifacts. I decided to make a replica of the locomotive part of the Transcontinental Railroad out of cardstock, a small part of the railroad tracks out of clay, and a
The webpage project focuses on website design and layout design. The project has practical application for librarians creating a blog or developing a website to advocate library concerns. This project taught skills such as embedding photos, making hyperlinks, creating blog entries, and developing a webpage with multiple pages. I received a letter grade of A on the project and the instructor commented “excellent job on the website
This artifact supports the standards 4.5 and 4.6. I use my progress monitoring sheets to keep accurate data on the students’ progress towards their IEP objectives. This form allows me to quickly determine the students’ percentage of accuracy for any specific trial. This progress monitoring form allows me to see the students’ progress and make adjustments to my teaching methods as needed.
JoI read Blogging about Books: What We Can Learn From Our Students by Brittany M. Albaugh (2013) because it is more relevant to me as a high school ELA teacher. Albaugh (2013) noted the increased use of technology by her students and formulated a plan to use blogging in the ELA classroom. The action research was an intentional change in her practice, but it was well documented and measured to ensure accurate findings. Albaugh (2013) collected many pieces of evidence to show student improvement as a result of blogging in the classroom and she concluded that "... students ... thrived while blogging"(p.5).
Over the past few years, I have inconsistently shared the work occurring in my classroom. Years ago, daily posts on my now-abandoned classroom blog, reflections on my professional blog, and posts on my students’ blogs kept invested adults current about the learning taking place in my classroom. For the past few years, I have practically gone into hiding after moving my classroom from the blogs to Edmodo and then Haiku. I have allowed ambiguous student privacy expectations from my district and partner agencies to discourage me from posting learning to an authentic global audience. Before reading “Show Your Work” by Austin Kleon, I was only sharing my work through Instagram and practically stopped encouraging my students to share their work.
For this paper I have evaluated three different artefacts. I will present this portfolio, along with an examination of these sources for use in future evidence-based nursing practice. The focus of the paper is adolescent pregnancy in the Australian context. The first artefact that I have examined is "Mental Health for Children and Families" by McLeod, Currie and Gordon.
One of the best decisions I made my junior year was joining Interact Club. Around Christmas time, everyone in Interact fundraises money by selling candy bars. This money goes to the Christmas clearing Council to help buy Christmas gifts for families in need at Waukesha North. We actually got to go shopping before Christmas and pick out the gifts for the families with the money we raised. This was very humbling for me because they didn't ask for much. All they really wanted was a pair of socks and a t-shirt. Nothing big, nothing fancy. The thought of people not getting gifts on Christmas really never occurred to me until then. I've been so fortunate that I have never had that situation at home, but now I realize that many others do. And that

Artifacts comes in so many different shapes or form. It could hold personal memories, feelings, or even value. The artifact I chose to share is my necklace.
In the following project, you will edit a handout that describes a new educational website product that Sturgeon Point Productions has developed for instructors. You will insert text, insert and format graphics, insert and modify text boxes and shapes, change document and paragraph layout, create lists, set and modify tab stops, and insert a SmartArt graphic.
This Artifact was easy to use to be able to communicate with technology to get out an activity to all parents about what event I wanted to put on. I was easily able to tell them what they need to bring and what I need help on. I could tell parents what was going on effectively and easily through email, and all I had to do was put up a template and I practically did all the work for me. As long as I got permission from all my parents of students, it's easier to inform them on what's going on in class and any event just by adding more subscribers, which is also easy. I would use this to as a digital-age communication and responsible social interactions that are easy to access through email, easy way for a teacher to be able to communicate with
