Looking back from when I began my career, I can say I came a long way learning the concepts of understanding the expectations that arose from all my positions. In my first job just after graduating, I was appointed as a Business Accountant of a multinational company. Since then, I was caught in the myth that people who were in leadership positions or high ranking were leaders. Being in a junior position, I could have the least effect on any new ideas as my voice seems to have landed in deaf ears. I have seen how those businesses were not in line with their Missions and Values only to find later that many of the staff had left the company.

The need for sharing of resources, having an online backup storage system as well as providing an online efficient environment for businesses gave rise to the discovery of the clouds. Cloud computing is thus the latest technology in both the technological sector and the business sector. It refers to Cloud computing for example, provides an online platform upon which individuals and businesses can store and retrieve their information effectively when connected to the internet. It thus saves on the costs that could have otherwise been used for the purchase of additional storage devices. I believe I can benefit the server in many ways. One way is staff experience. I was staff on The Archon which I recently resigned due to the server losing players and a corrupt staff team. I have also been staff on a few small HCF servers where I have learned alot on how to SS people and how to find hacks people try to hide. I also believe I can get along with most of the other staff team as I am mature and can control myself when I am talking in chats. Next I can benefit the staff team as I have a little bit of variety in the types of servers I have been staff on. The triumph of the public cloud- I ranked this trend first because I believe it is one of the most advanced and talked about topic in tech world in present year. This controversial topic is creating buzz all over the world. With advancement of technology, various tech companies have increased their effort to provide a free cloud storage system. Eric Knorr also listed this topic as a number one tech trend in his list. I believe this topic itself is one of the major challenges for public and private companies in term to provide certain product which not only is hard to maintain as well as complex and costly to generate. IT Companies can shift their fundamental competitive landscape by fabricating a new platform which will help to create and deliver values businesses have to its stakeholders (IBM, 2012). The cloud based storage can be used by companies to generate Enterprise data which can be used as various decision making and evaluation tools. (Stair and Reynolds, n.d.)

For my technology topic I chose Microsoft Azure. Azure is Microsoft’s cloud computing platform which provides IT developers, professionals and businesses with the infrastructure and platforms for building, deploying, and managing applications and services through a reliable global network. I chose Azure as my topic for several reasons. For one, my father is the National Sales Director for Microsoft Cloud Services so I hear him selling Azure to many corporations in North and South America which has sparked an interest in me to learn more about the MIS service. Furthermore, among cloud infrastructure providers, Microsoft is the leading vendor as ranked by Gartner’s Magic Quadrants- which makes their dominant cloud service more attractive to learn about (Microsoft, 2016). Finally, I chose this topic because of the growing demand for this service. Many predict by 2020 cloud computing will be a $500 billion market. Cloud computing allows users to access and store data and programs without using their computer’s hard drive, but rather the internet. Through cloud computing, businesses and developers can streamline, consolidate, and standardize their IT assets and operations to yield benefits which drive forward their businesses.

Cloud-based storage is a model of data storage in which the digital data is stored in logical pools. The physical storage would span multiple servers and locations. The physical environment is typically owned and managed by a hosting company. The Cloud-based storage will compute power, storage, and other resources by gaining access to a suite of elastic IT infrastructure services, as the business demands. With minimal cost and effort, the application can be moved to the cloud. Cloud-based storage help reduces capital expenses, minimize support and administrative costs, retain the performance, security, and have reliability requirements.

By having more than one program in memory, operating system will be able to let processor work on another program while the first program is waiting for I/O to complete. The ASP.NET Framework offers a development environment that comes with various tools and technologies that aid developers in building enterprise-class web services, websites, and web apps. Along with this ASP.NET is part of the Microsoft .NET Framework which gives the ability to utilize classes within the .NET Framework. With the implementation of Cloud computing platforms and ASP.NET the benefits offered by combining the two proves to be significant in terms of cutting down costs, management, maintenance, and the need for resources since most cloud providers are already providing SaaS (software-as-a-service), PaaS (platform-as-a-service), and IaaS (infrastructure-as-a-service) altogether. However demand to move onto the cloud is substantially increasing resulting in the massive surge of cloud providers coming into existence. With various cloud provider competitors out there Windows Azure which is a Microsoft cloud platform is one of the more notable cloud providers when it comes to ASP.NET applications and services over the web.
