A study from Victor A. Ginsburgh and Olivier Gergaud examining the effect of beauty and talent on the earning, it shows that people with talent have a higher return than people with beauty(Gergaud & Ginsburgh, 2010). It indicated that people with inner receive a better treatment than people with the outer beauty only. People with outer beauty do receive more opportunities in different aspect on the life however inner beauty is the factor decide whether the individual could hold the chance tightly. Talents and abilities are the main factors of the considerations for the employer to promote their employee. Success in career path also means success in your life. Therefore, inner beauty is more important to a human being. In conclusion, by comparing the persistence, attractiveness and the treatment received from the others for inner and outer beauty, inner beauty is more critical to an individual as inner beauty brings us a long-lasting and positive personal image, help building up a healthy social life, and help people to grip their chance and getting success in their life. Inner beauty is important to people while outer beauty is just a bonus, thus, people should develop good manners first rather than blindly focus on the outer beauty. (726
know the feeling one can have when one hears a beautiful song that brings joy to ones heart, stand in a field of flowers that excites ones eyes, or admire a face that is visually pleasing. The controversial issue that surrounds beauty is that some believe that true beauty is defined by someone’s outer appearance, while others believe it is something that is experiences through a person’s character. Beauty is defined as the quality or aggregate of qualities in a person or thing that gives pleasure to the sense or pleasurably exalts the mind or spirit. The secret of beauty has been a quest of humans for centuries. It has been determined that women and some men spend up to one third of their income on products and procedures that enhance their looks. People spend way too much time looking in the mirror, scrutinizing, worrying, fretting, and wishing people could change something about themselves. People dream of looking like the girl at work because she has great hair, or the girl people meet at a party because she is skinny, with the perfect nose. This happens because people are constantly on social media. A pretty face is not a complete definition of beauty, nor is the quality of one being kind and compassionate. To contain beauty, someone or something does not have to be physically beautiful. Beauty is everywhere. Take a simple flower.
The many qualities that beauty contains can affect who someone truly is in the outside. But those qualities do not define who someone is from the inside. According to “Hello, beautiful: what we talk about when we talk about beauty” by Arthur Krystal, it states “beauty is a mess, a sinkhole, a trap. Approach it philosophically
“You will never look like the girl in the magazine. The girl in the magazine doesn’t even look like the girl in the magazine” Jessimae Peluso. Throughout American history, women have continued to strive for an ideal of beauty. Although the definition of beauty has varied between generations, the pressure and desire to fit the mold of what society deems “beautiful” remains consistent among women from all eras. Unfortunately, this abnormal example seen in magazines, on runways, and in social media platforms is impossible for the majority of the female population to physically reach. Women are always pursuing the perfect look, turning to plastic surgeries transform them into celebrity ideals. People who desire perfect appearance ignore the nature of beauty itself, naturality is a kind of beauty. In recent years, women in America turned to look at models to find the ideal beauty standard and if they don’t meet them they turn to face lifts and plastic surgery to perfect their appearance.
Dr.Kesiraju Ramprasad said that “Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly a beautiful soul”. However, truthful the Doctors quote may be, it is often not what is viewed as important in real life situations. In society, beauty

"Beauty isn't about having a pretty face. It is about having a pretty mind, a pretty heart, and most importantly, a beautiful soul." (Unknown) Beauty is not just about being beautiful on the outside it is also on the inside. I feel that people have to be beautiful both on the inside and outside. Beauty is mostly on the inside because they are the people who are nicer and kinder. A person personality can make the person more beautiful because it is the way people act and talk. People are more beautiful on the inside because it is the way people talk and act.
Looking Past Appearances People are susceptible to making faulty assumptions about others. Intentionally and unintentionally, judgments upon an unfamiliar face is made swiftly. In less than a second, a snap judgement that is “surprisingly hard to budge” is formed in the mind (Highfield, Wiseman, Jenkins). In a phenomenon known as the halo effect, “the perception of positive qualities in one thing or part gives rise to the perception of similar qualities in related things or in the whole.” (Dobrin)
Some say that beauty is only skin deep and believe that "inner beauty," is a whole lot more important. They are a small minority. Most of us strive for perfection in appearances--it may be our own personal appearance defined by the perfect clothes and the perfect look, the perfect home we live in, or the perfect car we absolutely must have. People today are no different today than they were in the 19th century, and we get an in depth understanding of the obsession with "being perfect" in Nathaniel Hawthorne's "The Birthmark." This short story is about a devoted scientist who marries a beautiful woman with a single physical flaw; a birthmark on her face. Aylmer becomes obsessed with the imperfection and needs to remove it, to be
In our daily life we are constantly confronted with beauty and only to few other things we dedicate so much attention as to our appearance.
Beauty is important to each of us individually. Because it may not be beautiful to them but the most important thing is that is is for you. As long as you're happy it's all it matters. For example, yesterday my mom was looking for car. She was looking for a family truck or a car later I can drive. We were looking and looking and the price was too much. We went to another car lote, and i just saw this Mercedes and a Jeep. Of course my mom said no for the Jeep. She saw the inside of the car, she fell in love with it instantly. I was like it's alright but if my mom loves it why not. It's a damn new Mercedes! After she saw it she just said “I'm gonna buy it no matter the cost, I work hard and i'm gonna reward myself”. Back again to what i was
The main reason the word beauty has been used to describe external features rather than internal ones, so much more in the recent years, is the media. The media has evolved into something extremely influential, and the most clear message people recive from this, is what they are supposed to look like. For instance, magazines often create young girls who believe that thin as paper models seen in any magazine are what they are supposed to look like. Also, another component adding to the superficial terms people have are the celebrities that we idolize who are coached to not have even one single hair out of place; all those celebrity’s with perfect skin, hair, and body have been accomplices in the media’s outrageous spread shallow opinions. The outcome of the media’s bar being set so high is people all around doing whatever necessary to preserve their physical appearance regardless of the effect it has on their health or bank accounts.
The definition of beauty is a characteristic of a person, animal, place, object, or idea that provides a perceptual experience of pleasure, meaning, or satisfaction. Beauty has negative and positive influences on mostly people. Beauty is described by the inside and outside of us. Due to beauty, our self-esteem has been hurt dramatically, especially towards girls. Beauty is not always about our outside looks but it’s about our inside personality also.
In men the most desirable features are a big jaw and broad chin. Smooth skin, shiny hair, lean body and facial symmetry are also important qualities of beauty. Dateline conducted experiments to see if beautiful people were treated better than unattractive people. The results were an overwhelming, yes. Men would stop and help pretty women in distress every time, while they would walk right by a less attractive woman that needed help. Studies have consistently shown that attractive people get favorable treatment in many situations. They are more accepted in their peer groups, they receive better treatment in stores and restaurants, and they are hired more often with higher pay. Are these things that make up outer beauty more important than inner beauty?
Natural beauty, in this day and age, is a term that has many definitions because it is a controversial term. With the way people dress, act, and express themselves, it is extremely hard to find the true denotation of natural beauty. This is also true with the growing popularity in makeup in both genders. When asked to define it, people have formed their own opinions of the term along with the commonly known denotation, connotation, synonyms, and antonyms. The definition of the term also can be described and derived from my personal experiences along with others’. Though there is much evidence for and against the belief, natural beauty is more than what’s on the outside.
