There are many candidates for the 2016 Presidential election. Two candidates are Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee. They are both republican and both share about the same views on things such as education, healthcare, and the Second Amendment.
The issue of education has been a big issue lately. The national government is trying to step into the local schools. Both Ben Carson and Mike Huckabee disagree with this movement. Ben Carson believes that education is the way for someone to get out of poverty. The government needs to stop the controlling on how children are educated. Carson thinks school should be ran by involved parents and teachers and principals. Mike Huckabee believes that Washington bureaucrats and U.S. government central planners
I believe that both of the candidates have very good points on education, they were to combine there ideas they would come up with a very good education plan. I like college being tax deductible and I also like the 100,000 more teachers for to reduce class size.
In November, American voters will be between a rock and a hard place, or you may say between the devil and the deep blue sea, when they come to elect the 44th president. After the worst president in all of American history, the best choice Americans will have for president is either a 72-year-old authoritarian maverick or a black man whose middle name is Hussein. What’s wrong with America? This is the greatest nation in the world, and it became so because of its dedicated founding fathers and its distinguished popular presidents.
Gary Johnson, formally known as the Governor of New Mexico, is more recently known as a libertarian presidential candidate that ran in the 2016 Presidential Election. A liberal can be defined as someone who is open to new behavior or opinions and is willing to discard traditional values. This liberal label is suiting for him because in terms of the government’s spending, discarding it is exactly what his approach seemed to be. On a page created by Demian Brady, the Director of Research for the National Taxpayers Union Foundation, he summarized Gary Johnson’s plan to cut government spending, and supported his claim by providing supportive data on how exactly he had planned to do so. Brady stated that Johnson planned to make cuts of approximately
This, it seems, is the year of the anti-politician as far as the Republican Party is concerned. As election year rapidly approaches some of the top GOP Presidential candidates are non-politicians. The anti-establishment rhetoric is only increasing as the regular Republican voter is fed up with the path of the party, which is leading to lifetime politicians falling further behind in the polls. Two candidates in particular who have never held political office are leading one Monmouth University poll released on September 3, 2015. This poll, which was conducted nationwide, has Donald Trump leading the rest of the GOP candidates with 33% of the vote while Ben Carson is second with 18%. (MLA) Although Trump and Carson agree on some of the lingering
In a little over one year the people of the United States will elect a new president into office. There are over twenty candidates currently campaigning for the position. Hilary Clinton, Jeb Bush, Donald Trump, and Dr. Ben Carson are four I have mainly heard mentioned. Making a decision on who I would want in office has actually not been that difficult. I first narrowed it down between Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump. These two candidates are similar in ways but also very different. I personally believe that Dr. Ben Carson is a profound genius. Donald Trump is an intelligent man, but is nothing compared to Dr. Ben Carson. When it comes to speaking the mind Donald Trump gives no filter. Dr. Carson speaks his mind also but does it in a more intelligent meaningful softer way. There are three things that concern me when deciding on who the next president should be. Health care, abortion, and religion are three issues I believe need to be addressed when running for president. After much research on both Dr. Ben Carson and Donald Trump, I was able to make the decision that I believe Dr. Carson is exactly what the United States needs as the next
The reason why I chose Ben Carson because I believe he will support every students that attend school to realize their full potential. I want to see if Ben Carson can help students to attend school to a degree and have a brighter future and to be successful in life. I hope that Ben Carson is able to help people that are not able to get health care or afford it. I want to know if he capable of making a decision of helping patients by
Donald Trump has been endorsed by some prominent political figures. In January, former Alaskan governor Sarah Palin openly gave her support for Trump’s campaign. Another surprising endorsement came from former GOP candidate and New Jersey governor Chris Christie. In late February, Alabama Senator Jeff Sessions, openly gave Trump his presidential bid. Sessions endorsement became a major disadvantage to Ted Cruz. The most controversial endorsement came from former GOP candidate and neurosurgeon Ben Carson on March 11th. Out of all his endorsements, the support from Carson is a huge asset to Trump. According to the Public Policy Polling, Ben Carson was voted the most broadly popular Republican before announcing the suspension of his campaign. Carson has played a vital role in Trump’s campaign by vocalizing the need for the GOP leaders to unite behind Trump if elected the nomination. (The Washington Post). According to Politico, the other major endorsements that have influenced the success of Trump includes former Arizona Governor Jan Brewer, the President of Liberty University Jerry Falwell, TV personality Willie Robertson, sheriff of Maricopa County Joe Arpaio, California representative Duncan Hunter, The National Border Patrol Council, New York representative Chris Collins, NASCAR CEO Brian France, Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach, and The New York Observer Editorial Board. Presidential elections have existed in the United States for almost as long as the nation itself. Our first President, President George Washington, won the first presidential election in 1789. Although the voting process has been modified tremendously since the first election, the electoral college system remains our country’s way of collecting the nations votes. In this upcoming 2016 presidential election, I will practice my right as a United States citizen to vote. I have done extensive research on a couple of candidates and feel confident in my knowledge on their views on important issues that have been addressed in our country. The purpose of this paper is to compare presidential candidates, Ben Carson and
Ben Carson is a newcomer who has never run for public office and will bring new out look and hope to the white house. Ben Carson’s perspective on how he would run the United States/White House will transform his success as an author and speaker in his campaign for presidency.
The 2016 Presidential election is coming up and candidates are fighting to get votes to be their party’s candidate. Ted Cruz is a Republican Protestant running for President with very conservative values hoping to bring America the change it needs. The Republicans have many people running for office that excite voters’ interest because they are not politicians. Although, Ted Cruz is a politician and stands behind it using his background in politics to gain ground. His political ad “Blessing” shows him as a man grounded in religious values and will use those values to be the best candidate for President of the United States. Ted Cruz successfully appeals to religious Republicans using different rhetorical strategies to persuade them to vote for him to be the Republican candidate for the 2016 Presidential election.
So far, this has been one of the most craziest elections that America has seen. There are four candidates that are running for the United States president. The most popular candidates are Democrat Hillary Clinton and Republican Donald Trump. The other two candidates are Libertarian gary Johnson and Green Party's Jill Stein. So far, Hillary Clinton is leading the Election with 46%, Donald Trump with 41%, and Gary Johnson with 5%. America should vote for Hillary Clinton because she deserves the position better than Donald Trump.
Considering his positions and beliefs, I would say that his intentions for the well-being of veterans, education, and money are good things to think about and consider, but not enough that would encourage me to vote and support him. I consider some of his views against things like same-sex marriage a bit extreme, considering that he would be willing to stop same-sex marriage and abortion through the means of force. Also, the fact that he contradicts himself and announces things like “Americans should respect gay couples” (“Mike Huckabee”) or getting a rapist freed and then denying that he took no part in the rapist’s release or declaring something absurd and digging himself into a deeper hole. And the more I keep digging into the “hidden and dark” facts about Huckabee, I am disliking him more and more, especially after finding out that he covered up the fact that his son tortured and hung dog. On a side note, I personally wouldn’t really want to vote in the presidential elections, unless I found someone that was truly worth voting for. Anyhow, Mike Huckabee has supposedly good intentions, and is willing to fight for his ideas and beliefs that he considers for the rights of life, family, marriage and religious
I agree with most of what Joe Biden believes in and know he will make smart educated decisions for our country. Many of his views that I agree with are on education. Joe Biden said that schools should hire more teachers and have smaller classes. I wholeheartedly agree with this statement, because as a student I can say it is much easier to learn in smaller classes. In addition to wanting smaller classes Joe Biden thinks 500 million dollars should be given to support business partnerships at community colleges. This is incredibly important because it will give kids who are at community colleges more opportunities to make a better career for themselves. Looking at the other candidates it is clear that they do not have the same views as Joe Biden. Ben Carson said that private schools are better than public schools. That is upsetting because many people can not afford private schools and should not feel bad if they can not. I also agree with Joe Biden’s beliefs on foreign policy. He said that “it is time to sit down, and talk, talk to the enemy”. He also said that with open dialogue there could be less of a conflict with China. These are smart comments to try to stop wars. All in all I agree with Joe Biden’s view on most topics, so I believe he would be an amazing president and make exceptional decisions to help the
I strongly urge you to do your research! Don't just take the word of these two people running, go to their websites, research using unbiased site. Please do your research, because you are deciding the future of this country!!! Don't just vote in the party that your family has been voting for for years, vote in the party that has the best policies for you, and your children. Your vote matters!!!
Dr. Ben Carson is a candidate with unusual roots that are far removed from the usual candidate’s political or military experience. Carson grew up as a poor, African
