I am compassionate, influential, a good listener and a positive role model. I am a hard worker and show strengths when working collaboratively as a team or on my own. I also have the enthusiasm and imagination to make teaching fun and interesting. Furthermore, I am very knowledge in my field and have the confidence to share this with all members of my setting.I am currently working toward my BA in Childhood Practice. I feel this award will provide a solid foundation on which to base a postgraduate study of learning and teaching as it has encouraged me to challenge, develop and reflect on myself as a practitioner and on my values, attitudes and beliefs. It has also encouraged me to take on leadership roles through planned projects and implementing changes. This has developed my professionalism and leadership skills, which has made me a more confident worker. Participating in this course has also broadened my knowledge on local and national policies and important frameworks that underpin Childcare and Education. Whilst working towards my BA I have continually developed my organisational skills, as alongside my course I continued to work full time. In addition, I had the responsibility of running a family and home. I am sure my wealth of experience working with children has given me a positive attitude towards teaching and along with my academic background would make me a compassionate and reliable teacher, and justifies me gaining a place on the PGDE
I am passionate about working in a primary school to support the education and welfare of pupils and families.

By reading this article an early childhood teacher wishing to become an associate teacher will gain some knowledge and understanding of what they are required/expected to do while the student is on practicum at their centre. The teacher will be able to understand how important it is to communicate with the student on practicum to ensure that the student is comfortable and knows what they are doing and what is expected of them while on practicum. This article would also be of interest to a parent of a young child as they will gain an understanding of how practicum is a busy and stressful time for not only the associate teacher but also the student teacher. By reading this article it also allows the parents of a young child to explain to their young child(ren) who may be attending a centre with a student teacher who the 'new teacher' is and why they are at their
-Child care is a potential ‘threat’ to the parent-child bond and the cause for lower social development and emotional control. NICHD studies have shown that ‘Infants spending as little as 12 hours a week in day nurseries showed slightly lower levels of social development and emotional regulation (less enthusiastic cooperation, concentration, social engagement and initiative) as toddlers.’ (Adamson, 2008: 12) The above evidence leads to the author’s conclusion/ generalisation that ‘the younger the child and the longer the hours spent in child care the greater the risk.’ (Adamson, 2008: 12)
Adults and infants/toddlers are very similar in the respect that we obtain great satisfaction and are tranquil to familiar people, places and environments, as we can slightly know what to expect. In terms of new situations, environments and people we become unsure, no sense of belonging maybe even anxious. In regards to children transition into childcare care, or from one room to another within the centre, there is always an element of unfamiliarity yet curiosity. This literature review will 4 include research studies ranging from 2004 to 2014 from an international lenses in different demographics’: Austria, America and Germany. These four articles examined in this review share common themes and main findings.

I have plenty of experience working with children. I started at the age of 13 and I have worked with lots of children of different ages and some with disabilities. I currently volunteer with Grace’s Space, a charity that provides support to children with Autism Spectrum Disorder and their siblings, parents and grandparents. Our sessions include: music, dance, snack time and family time. In addition, we encourage the children to play with toys of the educational variety and toys that stimulate their imagination as well, our aim is to promote creative expression, play and relaxation whilst improving social skills.
In the near future, I plan on becoming a pediatrician. When I was little I always wanted to become some sort of doctor, and parents said that even when I was little I would cry for other people. As I was growing up it was in my mind that I want to become some sort of doctor but I didn’t really know what kind of doctor. Since I was a kid back then, I thought why not become a kids’ doctor. From that decision, I mainly focused on becoming a pediatrician when I grow up. Since I like helping children become better and live a youth worry free of any illness or problems and according to the, Virtual Pediatric Hospital this a job for me.
I am interested in pursuing a career as a pediatrician or biomedical engineer. Many experiences have influenced my desire to enter the medical field and work with children. I found my love for children while working at a daycare, volunteering at a children’s hospital and going on a mission trip to Haiti (where I ran a kids’ club). By attending a TRIA Day in the Life of an Orthopaedic Specialist seminar and a surgical job shadow, I learned about being an orthopedic surgeon, physical therapist, physician’s assistant, and an athletic trainer and was able to see four surgeries. Also, by being accepted in an internship with Dr. Michael Freehill, another orthopedic surgeon, I was able to confirm that the medical field is the right place for me. With

When working with infants one of the most important things you as a childcare educator who's working with infants is that you are a caregiver when their families are at work. According to Karnopp, she believes that your role is to help reinforce a warm and safe environment for the infant that is in your care that's encourage exploration along with their emotional need (Karnopp, Para 1). In this field it important we are open the idea to make that personal connection with the parents (Karnopp, Para 1).
Ever since I was young I knew I wanted to do something that would help people or the world somehow. I was young, so as you can tell I could’ve just been staying that because I thought it was cool, but as the years went on it called my attention more and more. Eighth grade was the year when I really did realize that I wanted to do this for a living, I wanted to be a doctor. Little did I know there are many different fields of medicine , I just knew that I wanted to be a Pediatrician. I was looking into the salary and how many years it would take me to be a Pediatrician, I was ready.
