1. Never stay passive
All your efforts to create a comfortable atmosphere in your class have no sense if you stay passive during the classes. Many teachers can see students that do not have any motivation to want to progress in there studies. Similar to my situation they can counsel the student to help motivate them. Also by staying late after school to help students with topics they have difficultly understanding they can pass easily and pursue a better career. Probably the biggest influence to children in a classroom is their teacher. A good teacher will know their pupils, their needs, what interests them and their aspirations. A successful classroom will have well planned lessons in an environment which encourages learning and does not disrupt pupils. As students were forced into their growth of knowledge in elementary school and middle school by continuously being taught basics, in order to prepare them for high school and beyond, they get to gain their freedom and decide whether or not they want to meet their teachers’ marks in high school. Throughout the school year, there comes a time where students have to sign up for classes. By having this choice, students can decide on how they want to challenge themselves in the next school year. During my two and a half years of high school that I have conquered so far, I learned that in a classroom setting there are students who take advanced courses, enjoy the subjects that they chose to take, and try their best to get the best grades that they can receive, in order to prepare them for their future in adulthood. However, there are also students who do not try or realize the importance of the free education given to them because they do not have an interest in the subjects that teachers are teaching them or are just being forced by their students to attend school. Children, particularly young ones, need to move around and do different activities in order to keep them engaged. Having an environment where they are being taught in ways that are fun and reel them in, will stimulate the students to do well and strive to do better.
For younger students, making a classroom visual may be helpful. Second, you want to teach the students the classroom procedures and cues to eliminate issues during any kind of transition. Thinking about the placement of furniture will be helpful too. You want to be sure that there are not areas that will get to congested. Third is to implement positive praise and reinforcement. It is important to be specific with praise, so that the student will know what they are doing well. Adding in a reward system can also be very motivating. The fourth practice is about the teacher. Active supervision is important. Moving around the room will give you different views of the room and let all of the students know that you are paying attention. This may also make it easier for students to ask questions. They will feel that it is easier to gain your attention if your floating around the room, rather then standing in the same spot the whole time. The fifth practice talks about the importance of consistent and fair consequences. Teachers need to first know when to react. Ignoring minor behaviors that are attention seeking is important. Also, make sure that you are using constructive redirection, so the student will know where they went wrong. The final practice is to keep the student engaged. I think if teachers do not create a positive learning environment then students’ are not learning at their best ability. The teacher’s ability to know what’s going on in all parts of the classroom at all times is essential and makes the students pay attention because they never know if the teacher is watching them. The factor of momentum and smoothness is also important because the teacher needs to get lessons started promptly, smoothly, and provide transitions. Noise: Excessive noise can have adverse effect on children's cognitive performance. They might find it difficult to hear what staff and educators saying. So many rooms are made up of brick or cement walls, hard floor etc.

Trust is an important component of the classroom learning environment. A student should respect and trust his or her teacher and the teacher should be respectful of his or her students and their families. There are certain qualities that make secondary students more challenging to guide than primary students. It is unfair to say they do not enjoy learning, but they need to see a connection of the knowledge they acquire in the classroom is relevant to their own lives.
