The banking industry is highly competitive. The financial services industry has been around for hundreds of years. Wells Fargo has many competitors itself. In this paper, I will be doing a comparison of Wells Fargo & Company (WFC) and one of its biggest competitors, Bank of America Corporation (BAC). By analyzing looking at the financial ratios, one can see whether the company is successful or not. In the following, I will try to analyze and make a comparison of Wells Fargo’s and Bank of America’s recent performance in growth, income, and efficiency.  Answer: Bank of America because it just seem more reliable to me. It’s more of a savings account bank than a checking account bank.

Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefeller, and J.P Morgan were all the richest men of the era. However, each of their stories differ - the way they got there and what they choose to do with their wealth. Therefore even though they were all making tons and tons of money, their lifestyles were dramatically different. These three men were apart of the Gilden Age - a time when corruption existed in society but was overshadowed by the wealth of the period.

Chase Bank is a national bank and constitutes the consumer and commercial subsidiary of JP Morgan Chase. Chase Bank traces its origins to Manhattan Bank, created by Aaron Burr (The History of JP Morgan Chase & Co., 2008, p.2). Chase was the first tenant at the Rockefeller Center and was later on led by David Rockefeller in the 1960’s (Wilson, 1986, p.87). The famous Bank One became part of Chase in 2014, and the regrettable Washington Mutual, under receivership, was sold to Chase at a bargain during the crisis of 2008 (The History of JP Morgan Chase & Co., 2008, p.19).

Throughout history the Canadian and American banking systems have always taken separate approaches to the financial sector. There are many factors that influence the differences between the banking systems, some of which including their banking regulations, customer base and the chosen style of banking. All the factors presented have influenced the results of the banking sectors in both countries. The Predecessor of AmeriTrust was founded in 1911 as the people’s Local Bank. In 1920 it became The First Local Bank but due to the Great Depression it failed in the 1930’s. Reorganizing itself in 1934 as The First National Bank at Orlando and in the 1970’s it merged with other Orlando Banks to become Ameri Bank.
