My project will focus on the Department of Defense Human Resources (HR) Systems. This project interests me because I deal with the systems day to day and feel as if the systems need to be discarded. The systems need to be thrown away mainly, because there are many different systems that are redundant and inefficient. A new well thought idea for an efficient system would cut-down on wasted time. Three types of quality systems for the project will use in the key assignment are the following along with a brief definition and example of each system.
• “Perform Quality Assurance (QA)- The process of auditing the quality requirements and the results from quality control measurements to ensure that appropriate quality standards and operational definitions are used” (Project Management Institute, 2013, p. 227). Also, monitoring the quality of the product during and after the production phase. This area ensures the customer receives the product needed with no faults and is in compliance to the purchase order specifications. In addition, controlling its compliance until the customer accepts the order (Patterson, 1983). “It is ultimately monitored in the field with the contractors strictly adhering to installation specifications and the testing/inspection methods that are in effect as one of the controls in the project” (Patterson, 1983). An example of Quality Control is when an inspector inspects stitching in garment as it comes through the production line.
