Ottawa would be a main example of lack of instruction in a 1st world city consists of one train system; the O-Train (that’s just being made) and bus routes that are satisfactory. Ottawa has begun its renovations for the new transitways but it will possibly take years to complete the final product. The O-train scheduled to finish in 2018, however the city needs a strategy that connects the main locations using the transitway otherwise the likely hood of it being done on time will be low. Even though the nation’s capital lacks the public infrastructure, there are many other cities in Canada that has better designed infrastructure for business such as Toronto, Montreal, and Vancouver. The economy in the country seems to be thriving very well with many skilled workers and plenty of jobs for most individuals in the civilian labor force. Although this shift from a farm based economy too much more industrialization did not happen until after the Great War, it wasn't until the 1920s until Canada

We must improve the system. This means, having better bus routes and more buses, more subway lines. Toronto currently has only 4 subway lines. This is nothing compared to New York with 34 lines. If our transit
Canada has established a clear goal towards helping businesses have long-term relationships & growth internationally and to save money. Mainly focusing on negotiating better rules/policies that will work alongside local manufacturing and exporting organizations in Canada and around the world. Canada has become willing to aim their business intentions towards working with the WTO and other countries, in efforts to overcome their global presence issues. The “Free Trade Agreement” helps Canada’s exporter and manufacturer gain a competitive advantage globally (with Europe, Latin America and other countries) by exposing them to new customers and investment opportunities (resulting in greater sales numbers). Diverse and multi-faceted, the Canadian business market is one of the strongest functioning mixed market economies in the world. Within the Canadian economy, the oil and gas sector stands as one of the largest and most influential sectors. The oil and gas industry is unique as it affects almost every person and sector of the economy worldwide, whether it is through commodity or material input costs. In Canada, this growing industry could allow for the country to be the one of the “biggest energy producers in the world” leading to a massive paradigm shift globally.
His resistance against Britain’s intrusion of Canadian autonomy explains itself and his adopting of two provinces rich in resources and fertile land may be the reason Canada is still afloat when it comes to international trade today. In fact, current statistics show Canada is one of the largest producers of canola globally and in 2016 Saskatchewan accounted for 53.7% of Canadian canola area. Alberta is rich in energy-resource, as it is home to oil sands, the largest reserve in the country, and third largest in the world, along with mass amounts of natural gas and
According Edmonton’s 2012 budget report, almost all municipalities across Canada face a significant infrastructure deficit. Neighborhood renewal occurred periodically with funding from other orders of government, yet it failed to address the full life-cycle requirements of preventative maintenance, rehabilitation, and reconstruction. Over time, the condition of roads, sidewalks and sewers deteriorated, resulting in more frequent collapsed sewers, increased sidewalk hazards, and dramatically increased maintenance like pothole repairs. The Office of Infrastructure and Funding Strategy highlighted the need for ongoing funding for neighborhood infrastructure to overcome an anticipated $2.2 billion funding gap in neighborhood roads and related infrastructure.
More than 100 years ago Canada had been a small child, progressing through life trying to find its place in this vast world. During the time periods of 1914-1945, 1950-1970, and 1971- 1990, there have been many factors that have helped induce its growth including: recognition due to military achievements, its international relationship with the United States, and uniting as one country. Through these times of hardship and glory Canada has succeeded in finding its autonomous identity in the world, as a “middle power”.
Canada holds productivity through its natural beauty. As a result, the economy of Canada is a major producer in a variety of items exported to the world. This couldn’t be done without its resources that expand throughout the country. Some global economy advantages aided by Canada include its staple exports of tree-related products such as paper and timber from abundant forests. The immense bodies of water adjacent with Canada provide for a prominent commercial fishing industry that catches popular and plentiful fish such as salmon and cod exported to the world. The hydroelectricity produced by its rivers help collect substantial amounts of energy to provide for the world supply. Along with hydroelectricity, Canada’s natural coasts and waterways aid for shipping ports to major
This has led to many other characteristics which Canada is known for: being progressive, upholding gender equality, and being an altogether safe and happy nation. In fact, on the U.S. News and World Report survey, Canada was ranked number one for its quality of life. Canada shines in other aspects of society as well- it is highly environmentally friendly, technologically advanced, and boasts a thriving job market. As a result of Canada-U.S. trade agreements in the 1980s and 1990s, such as the North American Free Trade Agreement in 1994, Canada’s trade- and economy- has grown drastically. Moreover, while Canada’s service sector is immense, with the report citing Canada’s “high-tech industrial industry”, primary and secondary sectors are also thriving due to considerable exports in minerals, food, and energy.

The oil sands have been Canada’s major contributor to their economic activity for many years. The oil industry has led to benefits for other industries such as business services, manufacturing, retail, finance and insurance. The impacts of the oil sands economically can also be seen in the national employment rates and statistics. People are immigrating from countries outside of Canada and other regions of Canada to move to Alberta in order to get high-paying jobs from the development of the oil sands. Recently Canada’s cost for oil has increased and oil sands producers are struggling as oil prices begin to plummet, and even the most efficient
Our transportation system, quite arguably, may embody our most vital system, as Infrastructure and Democracy clarifies, “access is the hallmark of a great infrastructure” (Jones, Reinecke). By great contrast, our roads remain a current issue. 42 percent of America’s urban highways remain congested, costing the United States 101 billion dollars in wasted time and fuel each year. Also, the32 percent of roads, in poor or mediocre condition, cost the average traveler $324 per year (American Infrastructure Report Card). Unfortunately, updating the highway systems seems longer than it may seem, as the Government Accountability Office (GAO) estimates that from proposal to completion most highways will need nine to nineteen years to fix (Leduc, Wilson 129). In addition to the roads, our bridges are failing just as much. One of every nine bridges within the United States is categorized as structurally deficient. The average bridge 42 years old, and in order to eliminate the bridge renovation backlog, our country would need to invest twenty and a half billion dollars until 2028 (American Infrastructure Report Card). However, in 2013, the United States only invested 12.8 billion dollars in bridge reconstruction and repair (American Infrastructure Report Card). Also, our countries transit
