“My nephew, Billy went to the doctor with her yesterday. I am not sure if he checked her, but he gave her medication for the month. She stopped at the pharmacy and filled the prescription. I talked to her last night, other than being tired, and she was fine.”
“Okay,” the paramedic said. “The coroner is on the way. The officers will stay here until they arrive.”
“What do you think happened?”Joshua asked as the paramedics waited.
“I’m sorry, I have no idea, but it happens.” “Give me a minute, and I’ll get her medication,” Joshua said, going toward the stairway.

While staring out the window, one of the officers went over to the paramedic and said, “This is the sixth senior found dead in Jackson Heights recently.”

Seeing it was his mother, he listened as tears filled his eyes and a lump formed in his throat when she spoke, “Joshua, thank you for taking me to the lawyer’s office in the morning. I will see you when you get here. Good night, son, I love you.”
Hearing the words from his mother, “I love you.” Joshua realized this was the last time his mother would utter those words. He replayed the message several times and wept.

Later that afternoon, Joshua stopped at the drugstore to tell them about his mother passing away and cancel her refills. Entering the store, he met Mr. Barnes as he came down the aisle and asked, “Mr. Barnes, how’re you doing?”
Noticing something had upset him, Andrew said, “Awesome, how are you this fine afternoon?”
“Not so good,” Joshua said, “My mother passed away last night. I stopped in to tell you and ask you to cancel the refills.”
The Pharmacist, Andrew Barnes, a heavyset, middle-aged man, with gray hair, wearing a white jacket said, “I’m sorry, what happened?”
“I went over this morning to take her to the lawyer’s office and found her in bed. She passed away in her sleep. I know sometimes, Mom was hard to deal with if she suspected a problem. She wasn’t always kind, but she was an excellent mother. One of her greatest pleasures in life was arguing with people, regardless if she was right or not,” he said, shaking his head.
“I’m sorry about your loss,” Andrew said. “Let me know when you have
"My mother and I are estranged, have been for years. My father died when I was young," Mary Alice said.
“She hasn’t felt too healthy since my brother Allie dies. She’s very nervous. That’s another reason why I hated like hell for her to know I got the ax
“Last year today was the day your mom left for the war” he whispered mournfully.
recalled her sadness. “I would start missing my mother from the time she arrived, knowing she
“I...I don’t know. Sometimes I wish dad would just come back. And other times I wish he was never alive. He left us, to suffer with an alcoholic mother, while he’s probably living a good life with another wife who’s 20 years younger than him.” I rolled up my sleeve, tracing the scars on my wrist. We stared at the passing cars, hoping one of those was mom’s.
“It is going to be okay, we will get through this as a family.” Mom said, softly.
“Rose Tyler.” The Doctor read from a letter. Before going over to a mirror and looks at his new face. “Ah, could've been worse. Look at the ears.”
Bruce’s eyes snapped open, turning his semi-groggy self towards the sound of the voice, and caught sight of his mother. His small indifferent frown, turned upwards into a happy smile, tears pricking the edges of his eyes before he threw himself towards his mom.
Sobbing hysterically, he asked, “What am I going to do? I can’t live without her,” he said, ignoring her request to call his son.
“I know.” Jack whispered. He could only imagine what his mother would say to him, this time. He had gotten hurt, and she would start screaming about him being too immature to be on his own. Huffing a breath he felt a nudge of his shoulder, he smiled looking over his shoulder. The legend’s blue eyes stared down at him, he knew it could feel the emotions.
“How could Mother be so patient and loving?” Miriam leaned her head against the trunk of the tree and closed her eyes. A tear trailed down.
“Sorry about what happened to your mom. I kind of know how you feel,” I said, thinking about what had happened to my family.
She said, “Now, please don’t get worried, everything is being taken care of, but your mother was in a serious car crash with a semi-truck.”
His voice cracked as he whispered, "You can't do this to me. You can't do this to your mother. I love you. I need you."
‘’Look, mum, I ‘m so sorry. I hadn’t even started to consider your feelings.’’ He silently walked up stairs back into his room as his mother stayed downstairs silently sobbing in the darkness of the kitchen.
