Imagine growing up being told to believe your education is worth nothing. Imagine not being able to attend school after the 6th grade. That was the exact situation my mother faced when she was younger. Ana Gonzalez, my mom and also my best friend, has set many great examples for me despite her imperfect history. Even in the tough times, my mother is always there when I need her. I guess I never took the time to realize her value towards me and my family. My mom is a creative person that likes to think outside the box. Not only that, she is also educated and supportive.

My mom has been through a lot with me she got me healthy even if she was sick during the time I was a baby, She has helped me with my reading and writing disability and has pushed me to do my best. She is a strong confident woman that is loving she loves to attend to people and has a great smile. She has shown me that even if times are hard you have to bring your head up and raise it high. From working several jobs at a time to make sure I had everything I needed, she became the reason why I was raised the way I raised. She also taught me to finish something if I started it, and that carried over to my reading. If I start reading a book I always finish it and do my best to understand it. So, she instilled what I know about reading and she influenced the way I read. She always told me, when I was younger, to pronounce my words right so that when I get older I would pronounce my words right. All that she has said to me and taught me when I was coming up as a younger child helped me get to the level of reading I am on today and also to the level of understanding I have of all the words I read. Without her encouraging me in this way I would have had problems understanding things that I read and wouldn’t be as smart as I have grown to be. I am very thankful of how I was brought up as a kid.

When I am having troubles of my own and need someone who will truly listen, she gives me great advice whether I like the outcome or not. She has guided and molded my sister and I into young ladies who know their self worth and who will not back down from anything. I have always looked up to my mother because she is strong as an ox, and by that I mean mentally, physically, and emotionally. She is simply this compared to any one I have ever met. As I have grown each day I follow her and pay attention to the things she does because one day I hope I can become at least half as great as she is. Back in 1988, when I was seven years old, my mother graduated college with a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education. Watching her work tirelessly while trying to raise me, work full time and attempting full-time credit hours, instilled in me the desire and drive to achieve my goals. She has been my role model as a non-traditional student. She helped me achieve a workable school/work/life balance. She has been my constant cheerleader since my decision to return to college and pursue an undergraduate degree.

Early on in my childhood, my mother would read me my favorite books. Among those were, Where The Wild Things Are, A Bad Case Of Stripes, Clifford The Big Red Dog, and the classic series of Dr. Seuss books. Those are some of the best memories I have with my mom. While she has had a big influence with my reading and writing, she has also pushed me in several other aspects of my life such as basketball, developing a good character, and growing as a person. My mother is the most important and most influential person in my life and everyday is a testament how great of a role model she is.

My mom, Christina Hasselbalch, is a single, full-time working mother who somehow finds time to always be there for me. She wakes up every day at five AM to turn the heat on and wake up so she can wake me up at six. After I leave for school she works long and hard hours so can provide for me. She also drives me everywhere from soccer to my friends’ houses. So she does a lot but, somehow she finds time to keep the house clean and cook all my meals. My mom is an excellent mom because even though she works really hard for me he always finds time to hang out with me.

I can always come home after a long day of school and bury my face in my moms shoulder and caramel hair. She's always there for me and so understanding. If ever my grades are getting low, my mom will always be there and assist me in any way she can. And sense I tend to get frustrated easily, my mom is always ready to clam me down and seems to be one of the only people I can count on and rely on to understand me.

My mother is an important person in my life. She is a Strong, disciplined and a super woman who has spent her life in her endeavor to become a successful. Born in a middle class Indian family, she faced many challenges and overcame hurdles in life to achieve her goals. She followed her passion towards education and goal of becoming a top most scale-1 officer in a bank. Her ability and focus developed the bank business resulted in substantial growth and huge profits. She was a real inspiration and I followed her ideals in my life.

A mother is someone who can take the place of all others but no one can take the place of her. There are many different definitions you could use to describe your mother.
