Often times, teens ignore the nutritious part when they consume food, but that is why schools incorporate health classes to teach students about the importance of eating healthy.
People always ignore social issues like obesity, unless one has experienced it in their life; otherwise, there is no real way of understanding it and how it negatively impacts oneself.
Habits develop early and if certain habits are not changed, it could continue into one’s life to an extent that no one can help to break that particular habit.
Some people think children are being bullied for being smart, or for having no friends; however, children who are obese, face even more problems socially and physically because they are not able to fit in with other children and be able to do activities like other children who are not obese.

She believed if the foods she eats tastes good, then it should be eaten even more. She never thought consuming fatty foods could do so much harm to one’s body if one continues to eat those types of foods. Heidi never tried to research about losing weight because she never faced issues related to obesity in her life. However, she started to see some changes her daughter went through because of the fatty foods Heidi served to her on a daily basis.
The Bond family faces obesity

Dan, Breanna’s father, started to face some risk factors of obesity as well as some physical and emotional effects. Since Heidi never experienced the negative effects of obesity, she never tried to eat healthily or help another person who struggles with problems related to obesity. Thus, Dan understands how obesity could have psychological effects such as depression, anxiety, and even low self-esteem. He wants to make sure Breanna does not face those problems and struggles he did during his childhood.
