That is what many people see Google as today, but in reality Google has evolved into something much larger than just a search engine. Not only has Google created an entire word processing suite, global navigation software, email servers, phones, and phone software but they also are working on rolling out internet for America in the form of Google Fiber. Due to POPS google has not only top the charts for best company to work for but they also use POPS for things other than just HR they also take into consideration worker health and work place stress when dealing with employees. “ I also found in my research that Google POPS is using data analytics to drastically rethink how they handle their people, but it’s not a bad thing – in fact, I think it’s quite the contrary” ("HR Too Far or Insightful Innovation? Google takes diversity in the work place very seriously, employing not only different races but also making sure there is a healthy male to female ratio. Recently Google found out that they were losing the number of women engineers that they have hired, so they set POPS out to figure out what was happening and to crunch the numbers. Eventually they found out that they needed to change they’re maternity leave policy. “…they fine-tuned their maternity leave policy.
