The three people used in the interview paper are Gussie B.Godfrey my grandmother, Grace Pettigrew my mother and Keta D.Hayes my daughter and my intents are to share with my Professor and others the information that I retrieved and learned during this interview process. Both my grandma and I smiled. Second interview: Grace Pettigrew Grace Pettigrew, my mother who is 67 years old received a $1,101.00 pension check once a month with no other income or assistance from the governments’ states that she is unable to afford health care insurance and that she over qualify for government assistance. The Medicare plan is expensive and would leave Grace short on bills or food. Therefore, my mother rely she said on community based services at a hospital in Georgia name Grady Memorial Hospital Grace (2012). The reduce plan for the hospital card is based on her income and charges he $20.00 for office visits with no deductibles to meet and three dollars for her medication. Grace (2012) describe her experience with health care services and providers as being good and because this is all she can afford that there are no complaints except for she would like to go to doctors of her choice. Unfortunately, this is not an advantage because no other doctors are willing to take on patients who do not have insurance coverage. Grace (2012) states that she has never seen so many medical offices and that there are hospitals in every neighborhood. My mother is not sure how these facilities make their money where there are so many people without jobs or insurance. According to my mom Grace (2012), People would have to call and maybe wait days for a doctor to make it to your home if there were an emergency but not
In today’s rapid changing world, leaders are very pertinent, especially in the field of nursing. Good nursing leaders have the ability to provide direction, facilitate structure to reach goals, and cohesiveness throughout team members. Leader by definition is “someone who uses interpersonal skills to influence others to accomplish specific goals” (Sullivan & Decker, 2009, p. 329). On the other hand a manager is different. Their goal is geared toward being responsible and accountable for the goals of the organization. Below is the summary of an interview with L.A. Patient Care Manager of Endoscopy/ Special
During the last week I have had the pleasure of interviewing several individuals about their beliefs and how those beliefs affect how they would anticipate their own needs in a healthcare setting. I found that I also learned a lot about each individual’s faith, how their faiths affected their daily lives and their worldviews. I conducted four interviews in the last week and I believe that I have captured a diverse cross section of view on faith and reality from these individuals.
Ashley came in for behavioral therapy for her adopted child Miracle who was referred by Head Start. (Ashley is Miracle’s biological aunt, but Miracle calls her mom) Miracle has been having trouble with her behavior at home and in school, she has several outbursts daily. Miracle has a hard time with authority figures, she does not like to be told what to do, she also gets angry very easily and her mood changes quickly. Miracle has become physical violent with other members of her family, she throws things at people, bites, kicks, and pulls hair. Miracle also curses and flips people off when she is anger. Ashley is unable to take her to a store because she always makes a scene in public, one time someone threated to call the police because they thought Ashly had kidnapped Miracle. Some other examples of her behavior include: Miracle was mad in school and refused to go into the classroom, the teacher had to physically pick her up and carry her in. The other day she bit a classmate and she flipped the teacher off. Yesterday morning Miracle did not want her hair brushed, so mom did
Universal health care has been a debated issue in the U.S. for decades. Due to the recent failure of the Affordable Care Act (or Obamacare), this has led to Donald Trump’s plan to repeal and replace it. One may say that health insurance is expensive, and not everyone can afford it. The government should provide everyone with access to health care. However, others may say that it is not fair. The government should not pay for people who do not take care of themselves, such as smokers. Although free health care is a basic human necessity, actually there’s still the issue of paying it off because health care, in reality, is not really “free” and still needs an alternative to fund the program, could lead to possible abuse to the system and further government debt.
The 5 questions and their answers I asked in my interviews are as follows; 1). How did the professionals such as the Dr.’s, nurses, PT, OT, etc. treat and/or interact with your father/client? My first woman told me that her father was a Korean war vet and that the majority of his Dr.’s were at the VA in MN. She was not impressed because many times they all seemed as if it was a burden for them to have to see him. She also observed young men and women there in waiting rooms who were treated with respect and they seemed to get right in to their appointment whereas her dad would sometimes wait 1 to 3 hours only to be told that they would have to reschedule. It was very sad. My second woman I interviewed told me that rarely would she ever see Dr.’s
It is apparent from visiting with Dr. Nael P. Ghael on yesterday December 21, 2017, she was no more prepared or familiar with my medical history then she was on November 22, 2017. In November she said she would order my records from Care Now and wait on the results from the MRI. She did not know that I had physical therapy, she said to call you again about me being off work she could not do that. I told her when I did call you, you were so nasty to me and rude I did not get you to listen to why I was calling. I am going to ask you the same question I asked The Human Capital Staff if you are sending me to a doctor that does not have or will not allow one off work to heal, where will I get a doctor’s statement from. It appears I
The topic for the proposal letter will be about ways to improve the quality of healthcare in nursing home facilities by making changes in laws and policies. My interview subject was my wife Brandee Jackson who is a Registered Nurse in a long term care facility. She has several years as a Registered Nurse in addition to many more years as a certified nursing assistant in both a long term care facility as well as home health care. The advantage of her perspective is having the firsthand knowledge of what really happens with care at the personal level. Many times, Doctors do not connect on a personal level with their patients to understand their needs and complaints. Thus, interviewing someone who forges a bond
There are two main measures of medical underservice in the U.S., health professional shortage areas and medically underserved areas and some special need populations. Both measures require communities to apply for designation. These designations allow the government to target resources to those determined to be most in need (Colwill and Cultice, 2003).
We are a different breed. Sometimes seen as crass or non-empathetic towards some. But when you go from a dying child or cardiac arrest to someone who came in by ambulance for ankle pain they have had for 15 min sometimes we have a hard time controlling our emotions.
The government should provide health care to all in this country. Not everyone in the U.S. can afford healthcare and some simply choose not to get it. Sometimes this becomes a life-threatening issue for those who don’t have the proper health care. The U.S. would be better off if a newly adopted health care system like, Canada’s was put in place. This will allow citizens to have peace of mind, universal benefits, and more opportunities to spend their hard earned money elsewhere.

In a group interview session held on January 18, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. in Ehringhaus Residence Hall, three people aged 18 to 22 were asked to share their personal experiences and opinions pertaining to healthcare. The information collected from this interview will be compared to the healthcare perceptions of other age ranges. In the interview, there were ideas that all three interviewees agreed on, such as the exorbitant prices of healthcare and concerns about quality of life. There were also ideas that all three felt differently about, such as the steps to take to minimize important issues in healthcare today. Nonetheless, the results of this interview give insight into the reality of the lives of patients in contemporary healthcare.
I chose to complete my paper using the Health Care Interview honestly because I have many friends and relatives that are nurses and I knew that I could easily find a couple of people to schedule time with. The Health Care Interview is used to gain relevant and accurate information in order to assess a patient’s physical, mental, or emotional health. It is a vital part of the practice of medicine, as a patient cannot be successfully treated until the physician has a clear understanding of the patient’s medical needs.
When the patient first came in I think I did quite well as I welcomed
Under payment, an ideal healthcare system will have the challenge of delivering higher quality for lower costs. The system’s payment reform will involve a transition from fee-for-service to global from systems that are value-based important for the achievement of the overall healthcare goals. An ideal healthcare payment system will give a great deal of support to value-driven system of healthcare delivery (Kent, 2013). The fee-for-service payment system will be of great importance to the healthcare system as it will help control the costs of health care.
