The Act aimed to prohibit the entry of children into hazardous occupations and to regulate the services of children in non-hazardous occupations. Various measures have being taken by the government to reduce child labor by introducing special school with free education and nourishment by providing food. This introduction has led to reduction of child labor practices in most parts of the country. From the point of global ethic many of these ethics collide with government priority in attracting and retaining MNEs. One biggest fear that government has with taking action against the unfair practices is loss of investment from the MNE which would eventually lead to economic downturn for the country. Child labor was very common and popular especially in the late 1800s and early the 1900s even though many people were not aware of the dangers. We can define child labor as work that deprives children of their childhood, their potential and their dignity, and cause to their physical and mental development. Taking jobs away from child laborers is an unsuccessful way to make their lives better because this solution leaves them without money to buy food and other essentials. If child labor regulations were put into place, children would be treated appropriately in addition to being able afford necessities to survive. There are only specific jobs that children should be able to fill. Jobs involving machinery made for adults should not be used by children since it causes a safety hazard.
