Education in Thailand
When people think of Thailand they think about the amazing and exotic foods along with the amazing tourist points. People get too distracted by these things which causes them to miss out on the actual culture and lifestyle of Thailand. Thailand is a highly religious country, an amazing 95 percent of the Thai people are Theravada Buddhist. The culture is also deeply family oriented and has one of the most interesting languages today. The main languages spoken in Thailand are Thai, Central Thai, and Siamese. Roughly half of the words in these three main languages are taken from other languages such as Pali, Sanskrit, and Old Khmer. A distinct difference between Thailand and the United States would be its education system, as it is set up in a different way. Education plays an important role in how the people from Thailand communicate with each other, this is due to educational barriers such as location and economic issues. The culture of thailand combined with all the different languages they use cause issues when it comes to education, it is difficult to teach the students when they all speak a different variation of the same language. These communicational difficulties lead to an inefficient educational system. The education system of Thailand needs to be modified in a way that students from all over Thailand have an equal chance of growing both as students and individuals. Every language is the foundation of a nation's culture and education. The
We have so many problems in Thailand but “Thai education system” is the main problem of Thailand. That’s the problem for a long time since educations of Thailand begin. We have many lessons but the knowledge gained back a little. And we did not have only one problem. Education problems are the chain to the other problems because education is the main thing to develop the children and the children will become to the adult in the future. Thai education system needs to be reformed.
I’ve lived by the common adage that we are a product of our environment, the idea that exposures have the ability to shape our character and outcomes in life. Growing up in a rural environment with resources allocated to support agricultural development and a scarcity of resources to address the public health needs of my community inspired me to pursue higher education. As the country reaped the benefits of the agricultural industry, my community endured the costs from exposure to environmental toxins and pollutants that resulted from the agricultural industry’s use of chemical pesticides and over-irrigation of the land. Although the built environment positioned me to experience unfavorable outcomes, the adage served as a reminder that exposure to other environmental conditions could result in more favorable outcomes. My exposure of choice was education, exposing myself to education broke down environmental barriers and instilled a passion to address public health needs inherent to the environment. Self-education exposed me to the field of Nutrition and the idea that nutrients in food could serve as medication to cure, control and prevent diseases. With newfound knowledge of the field, I was able to disseminate nutrition education information to members of my community. Moreover, I recognized that I could not change environmental conditions and needed to pursue a structured education in the field of Nutrition to make a larger impact on the health of my community. Pursuing
Although gender and education inequality may be both gradually increasing while shifting up and down throughout the years, the adult literacy rate in Thailand has only been increasing since 2000. In 2015, only about four percent of Thailand’s citizens aged fifteen and over were illiterate. This ends up positively contributing to a wide variety of social improvements, such as lower infant mortality rates and higher education levels for future generations. This is because a parent who went to school and learned to reads is more likely to do the same with their child, regardless of gender. The same goes for length of education as well—the more education they received, the more education they will likely expect their child to experience.
I chose to research the South Eastern Asian country of Thai. Known for their smart business savvy world, the Thai people have become one of curiosity from around the world. The capital of Thai is Bangkok, a there is an estimated 68 million people in their region.

According to the children Act (1989) and the disability discrimination act (1995) the definition of special educational needs (SEN) is when a child is abnormal if he is visually impaired, dumb, deaf, injuries, or suffers from a mental disorder or any other type of illnesses. The definition of a child having disability according to the act is if he or she has been diagnosed with long term physical or mental impairment therefore struggling to do the day to day tasks. Both of the acts are provided for schools to meet the child’s responsibilities with SEN, and also help the teachers to meet the needs for disabled children.
I was driving to an art performance on a Friday night with my eight-year-old daughter strapped in the backseat, and we were talking about where I was going once she was dropped off at her friend’s house. I explained to her that there had been several hurricanes that left the island of Puerto Rico in need of resources and help, and that the money raised at the event that night was going to will help aid the effort. She proceeded to ask questions about the topic: “Where was the island? What did the hurricanes do? Were people hurt?” She had numerous other follow-up questions about the country and its link to ours. Our conversation led me to question what I knew about Puerto Rico as I stumbled to give the place a label for her. Was it a
A stable education is vital for kids and young adults. It’s especially important for younger children. Learning and being taught properly helps to form their brains at an early age and helps insure a lifelong learning opportunity. Fortunately, the U.S has a very stable education system going, but unfortunately, that’s not the case for some new world countries. Some countries aren’t as lucky and developed, and cannot get a correct education system established. Some areas targeted in this goal include, sub-Saharan Africa, Southern Asia, indigenous people, refugee children, and poor children in rural areas. According to the “United Nations”, the amount of children attending school has greatly increased, but most of them do not acquire basic
Education is a very important tool you need to live a successful life, Those students who actually take advantage of the education given to them are usually the ones with the most success. The students who don’t take advantage of the education given to them are the ones working a minimum wage 9-5 job. With some students, the education they’re receiving isn’t enough, nowadays most students worry about their elective classes, sports, and after-school activities more than their common core classes. Which are Math, English, Science, and History. In order to increase student success at school all around Anaheim, students should spend more time in their common core classes, rather than spending the same amount of time in their elective classes.
Education is a right recognized by many countries across the world, and yet many children don’t even have access to attend school. In Plato’s “The Allegory of the Cave”, coming out of the cave and being blinded by the sun is like learning for the first time. The amount of information may be overwhelming at first, but then can be accustomed to. Education creates opportunities which then creates a better life for children and society, especially in poorer countries. Not only is it a human right to attend school but it is also just, and when something is just, it must be just for all. Education should not be a privilege, and no matter the gender or financial status of a child, they have every right to attend school.
Everyone goes through it, and rarely anyone ever enjoys it. Education. The stigma around school and education among students is often not a very pleasant experience. Many students often dread waking up early, only to go to a series of dry and unengaging classes in an over organized system. The idea that our students dread education so much should be a red flag that the system is failing and changes should be made. Our education system needs to undergo various changes to create better educated students in our society. To create a better education for our students, we must dissect the issues with contemporary education, and redefine how we view education. What is it about our schools that creates an environment of systematic learning? The
School to Prison Pipeline – This topic is important because it effects the quality of education received by students of color and students who identify as a part of the LGBTQ community. It is important for all involved in the education field to be aware of the issues surrounding this topic and the possible reasons as to why students are entering the prison system early. In order to ensure that all students get the education they need and deserve, it is important for educators to remain aware and constantly seek possible answers and solutions to this ongoing problem.
Education plays a vital role in shaping the leaders of tomorrow. By acquiring the skills necessary to be productive members, society can become a better nation. They can also increase the knowledge to achieve the public goals actively and meet challenges that can produce change and impact towards citizens. Education frequently takes place under the guidance of educators, but learners may also educate themselves. Some authors stress education’s value to an individual, highlighting its potential for positively influencing student’s personal development and establishing a career and occupation. The knowledge society
1. Education has various implications. Given the fact that it provides a communication channel through which information is accumulated and knowledge is shared among members of a smaller or larger community, education is benefic for some and destructive for others. For instance, students and the young educated generation have started some of the most important revolutions in the history of human kind. One example in this sense is the Tiananmen Square Student Rebellion or the Arab Spring. In such cases, education has enabled the young generation to look beyond everyday realities and opened their eyes to new political and social perspectives. Education can be destructive especially if education is used as a means of propaganda. One example in this sense is the way in which the communist forces used education in schools and universities to determine a transformation of the ruling power into an idolatry figure or adapt history reports and perspectives to such an extent that it would serve the Party's objectives and own accounts of history and realities.
Thailand is facing an increase competition in labour-intensive industries because of growing population at faster pace in neighbouring. To have competitive advantage, Thailand must improve its quality of education and also develop the necessary skills to improve the value-added chain. The growth of real GDP is expected to range from 4.0% to 5.0% in medium term.
