The presence of two Presidents and Executive Vice-Presidents strengthens the corporate management team which takes strategic decisions. The shareholding pattern of Voltas has also been shown. The non-promoter holding is much higher than the promoter holding.
The human resource initiatives of Voltas which motivate employees, improve their morale and bridge the gap between senior management and lower level managers and workers has been analyzed. Some initiatives are cross-cultural sensitivity workshops, lateral induction program and creating a handbook on employee engagement have paved the way for successful management across the firm.
The report concludes by analyzing the impact of the above mentioned internal forces on the image and brand equity of Voltas as well as its performance.

1. Introduction
HCL Technologies is an Indian global IT services company started in 1976 by Shiv Nadar and Arjun Malhotra.
