I have experience in performing pregnancy tests, glucose tests, Strep tests, Flu tests as well as collecting and testing urine and feces. I have also had the practice of patient safety as well as safety for myself and my co-workers. I learned the importance of proper documentation and how it is crucial to a practice.
My first attempt at a career was in the military, which ended with a medical discharge after a knee injury. After a few different jobs, I felt I finally had a career when I found employment as an assembler with Oshkosh Truck. Unfortunately, in June 2014, I was laid off. It was at this time, I decided to return to college. I have always enjoyed technology and science, so I enrolled at a technical college in Fall ’14; completing general coursework, while figuring out which program would be the best fit for me.
