This requirements report study introduces a review of mobile and cloud based solutions and how it can be applicable towards the Headspace case. It is followed by nonfunctional requirements description suggested for the Headspace and a recommendation which SDLC approach to use. 1. Review of mobile and cloud based solutions This part of the report study will include a review of strengths and weaknesses of mobile and cloud based solutions taking into consideration the environment in which the solution for the Headspace case would be deployed. Cloud Based Solutions According to Australian Government Cloud Computing Policy, the Australian Government has adopted the US Government’s National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) …show more content…
Resource Pooling is characterised by provider’s computing resources that combined to maintain numerous users utilising a multi-tenant model, with various physical and virtual resources actively allocated and reallocated accordingly to user demand. A user does not have to monitor or be aware of the location of facilities such as storage, processing, memory, network bandwidth but can indicate general position of it as country, state or datacenter. Rapid Elasticity brings capabilities that can be resiliently procured and extricated to measure promptly outward and inward well proportioned with request. To the user the facilities provided for procuring often appear to be unrestricted and can be suitable in any amount at any stage. The last significant aspect is Measured Service of cloud systems. It monitor and optimize resource use automatically by controlling a metering capability suitable to the type of service, such as active user accounts, bandwidth storage, and processing. The three service models are Software as a Service (SaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS). The aptitude that SaaS gives to the user is to use the provider’s applications functioning on a cloud infrastructure. The applications are accessible from any connected client devices. The user does not do anything with the cloud
Within the past 10 years our societies technological advantages have been somewhat space age like, even alien like characteristics. Technologies, which ten years ago only existed in our dreams but yet, have become reality. Things like, the revolutionary iPhone and its almost seamless touch-screen tech; as well as the new advancements in our cultures most prized possession, The Internet. In this subject-based paper, I will take a closer look into a fairly new emerging technology, which is simply referred to as…Cloud Technology. The synopsis will cover, what and how cloud technology works, its
Mobile technology devices are used more today in the office for communicating outside the office. These devices provide the office worker the independence to stay in contact during commutes, to work from home, or to participate in meetings when away from the office. According to research, the most valued qualities of using mobile technology are the functions that the devices provide (Gebauer, 2008).
| Mobile devices: The majority of individuals now carry with them devices that in the past were the purview of IT. Whether it is smart phones such as iPhone, Blackberry, Android, and Windows Phone 7, or tablet devices such as iPad and Google OS or Windows based devices, individuals have the power of a desktop in their hands. Given existing technologies, users can perform most of their standard business responsibilities using these devices and the applications available on them. Whether it be customer, product/service, or financial transactions, sitting at your desk with a computer is no longer required. Legacy IT organizations struggle with this new direction, and issues of control and change persist.
The patients have the capability to do video conferencing via their phones for remote consultations with their doctors. A remote monitoring systems is permitting patients to take a very active method in prevention care. Nowadays, in a patient’s hospital room , technology has various devices as (E.K.G. Machines, ventilators, fetal heart monitors, oxygen sensors, blood pressure sensors, etc.) this devices are connected to the hospital 's server , where it can in turn records and transmits the data to a smart phone or tablet used by its staff to make sure to have a best care possible.
This project is a composition of several reviews collected from users who used and are currently using the mobile devices which run on Mobile Operation systems: Apple iOS[1], 8th version and Google’s Android OS[2], Lollipop version. The devices running these operating systems are Apple iphone6 running on iOS and Google Nexus 5 running on Android OS.
While software selection criteria were not in scope for this effort, it does warrant discussion on the overall availability of specialty software for the medical industry on iOS, Android and Windows platforms. Currently, most of the “MCA’s” or Medical Clinical Assistant platforms operate in a Windows-only environment, as do most of the key medical records and billing platforms in the medical field. The cost of custom software development to build a mobile solution is far beyond the budget of most local hospitals and not an endeavor to be undertaken lightly.
Cloud computing can be defined as an internet based computing model that can be used to provide services to multiple users, simultaneously, as and when requested. The Common wealth Bank of Australia (CBA) included cloud service models in their IT infrastructure quite recently, and has released in public the details of this project. The white paper released in public provides the details of the cloud model implemented by the organization, along with the factors that had driven the project and the benefits that have been availed from the project. This article is aimed at providing a detailed description of infrastructure that has been adapted by the Common Wealth Bank. Discussions have also been made on the challenges that were
As advances in technology occur, mobile cloud computing is able to overcome the issue of resource poverty that occurs in mobile devices. Manufacturers now look at cloud computing as an asset because they can run their products better. The number of businesses and individuals that are investing in cloud computing services is anticipated to grow rapidly. Rapid growth of this nature will have a large impact in the IT industry. This study shows that cloud computing, including mobile computing, is a major contribution to the expansion of output and employment within the IT sector. An improvement in performance is making mobile cloud computing a better choice for consumers. In recent years, changes in the mobile cloud computing
Then the characteristic of resource pooling. This allows a provider a plethora of computing resources such as data storage & processing. Rapid elasticity is the next and is best described as a network that expands or decreases, in some cases, automatically to meet the needs of a customer. Finally, measured service is cloud computing resource usage can be measured, described as providing transparency for the provider and consumer. Cloud computing services use a metering capability which permits it to control and enhance resource use. The more you utilize the higher the bill.
With the emerging mobile technology, mobile applications people are now easily connected, this thought in people now made Mobile Virtualization possible, because then people started thinking how to use our own device at work place so as to make things easy [3]. At the same time enterprises started providing that ease for employees to connect to work environment, and set about discovering ways to use BYOD in enhancing the overall productivity and communication among team members. In a security survey by Courion, 69% of all enterprises indicate that their employees were using personal mobile devices to connect to the corporate networks [4]. Enterprises are supporting employee owned devices because it reduce companies cost and increasing employees productivity [5]. There are a number of issues such as device choice, security models, liability, user experience, privacy and economics that need to be considered in delivering a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) offering that works well for the user and the enterprise. In order to achieve adoption and sustainability from the BYOD community, in the enterprise from
The need for mobile connectivity is particularly high in the realm of human resources (HR). Recruiters need to know which highly qualified candidates are in their talent pool; supervisors need to quickly access information about the employees they manage in various geographical locations; and employees travelling for business need to be able to easily manage their learning activities on the fly. Thus it is important to understand how can organizations use a mobile talent management solution and still be able to capture and analyse critical workforce data
Also, to reduce the dependency on a remote device and to enhance the use of “Smartphones”, we will sync the device with an android application.
According to the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), cloud computing is referred to as a model for enabling convenient, on-demand network access to a shared pool of configuration computing resources that can be rapidly provisioned and released with minimal management effort or service provider interaction. The following paper will discuss the meaning of cloud computing, the major providers, benefits of adoption, pitfalls of adoption, current trends in the business community, and current application within the business community.
Mobile computing is becoming the forefront of technological capabilities as we move towards a more ubiquitous society. Networking homes, offices, cars and hand-held
On account of headways in cell phones and systems, the corporate world has been progressively dependent on telecommunication as of late. The deep rooted nine to five office course of action is blurring endlessly for a setup where experts can work from anyplace, and at their own opportunity.
