Movie Analysis : ' Vengeance '

after removing the chip from the back of her phone, she hunts down and tracks her alt. After following her alt into an alley, she sees that her alt hired a striker to kill her. She gets shot in the left shoulder and only narrowly escapes thanks to chord scaring them off. After Chord patches up her shoulder, she runs away from him again, but this time, she goes to another striker job. After killing the target, she finds an empty room and sleeps there for a while until her alt’s striker found her and tried to get the jump on her. After getting outsmarted by West, she kills him and runs away to her alt’s house. When she gets there, she finds out that the striker that she killed was her alt’s boyfriend and that the next day, her alt was going to attack Chord. She immediately runs to chord’s house and tells him about her alt’s plans, only to find that he knew all along. The next morning she gives him sleeping pills and sets up a trap for her alt to fall into. When she arrives at Chord’s house, she shoots and misses by a fraction of an inch. The 1946 film The Killers is a renowned film noir based off of Ernest Hemingway’s short story of the same title, focusing on the detailed backstory and investigation for the motive of the murder of Pete Lund/Ole Anderson, commonly known and referred to as “The Swede.” A film noir is a term made originally to describe American mystery and thriller movies produced in the time period from 1944-1954, primarily marked by moods of menace, pessimism, and fatalism. Although the film does not focus on the war itself at all, it still puts forth interesting new ways in how gender relations can be stereotypical as well as divergent proceeding the Second World War.

Natasha has been feeling like Hayley and Jenny don’t want to be friends anymore, so she goes back to Becca. Together, Natasha and Becca try to find out how she got in the river. Later on, everyone was at play practice. Tasha wasn’t feeling good so she sat out. Becca’s best friend Hannah stepped in her place. When Tasha went to go move the overhead light, it came crashing down over Hannah. It killed her. Both the police and the girls had decided that Hayley and Jenny had led Tasha into the river and did something to the light for it to fall. The two girls were sent to prison and counseling for murder and attempted murder. After that, everything was going fine until Becca started to get a little suspicious. She asked the police if she could look over all the evidence again. She then came to the conclusion that Natasha had done all of it. She had thrown herself into the river and framed Hayley and Jenny, and she loosened the light so that it would fall. The police did not believe her. One night, Becca and Tasha went out into the woods. Becca was going to try and get her to confess. Natasha did end up confessing, but then she

Solomon becomes determined that he cannot lose his son, so he does everything he can to find him on the path to the diamond. Solomon opens up to Danny and tells him that his son loves to learn and will one day become a doctor. Danny tells Maddy, “You know Solomon thinks his son will be a doctor someday? Maybe his baby dies in that camp, maybe his daughter gets raped. Who knows, maybe both. Do you realize that that diamond is his only chance of getting his family out of here.” Danny realizes how much Solomon needs to find his family, and it is his first time understanding this because he never had a family for himself. Danny’s objective shifts little by little and he becomes increasingly protective of Solomon because he wants him to find his son. Throughout their mission to find the diamond, Danny watches Solomon risk his life everyday just to see his son, and risk his life to save other people, like the little boy who is injured on the side of the road due to a shooting. Danny’s complete change of heart comes from watching Solomon reunite with his family, and seeing how determined Solomon is to get his son back from the R.U.F, and becoming close to

Germaine showed his real colors and became just like the other men in Sugar Hill. Once Germain began to verbally and physically abuse Nicie she began to become depressed, lost her job because she always had to miss work because of her bruises, and her relationships suffered. This ultimately leads to her finally getting the courage to open Germaine’s mystery box which then leads to the final straw of the death of her new life with Germaine.

Once the half-term holidays have ended, a new girl, Lauren arrives to the school and all the boys, including Joe, have their eyes on her. Soon Joe and Lauren become best friends. Until Joe comes home one day and finds out that his Dad is holding a massive party. This only upsets him a little, due to his father not spending any time with him. Sapphire then shares that she had seen Lauren on TV before. Soon enough Joe found out that his father had decided to pay Lauren, in order for he to befriend Joe. Joe then decides to run away from home.

The main character, Charlie must navigate through it even while feeling motionless and scared. He tells his story to the reader from his perspective. The reader sees life from exactly the way he sees the events and understands those events through a teenage boy’s eyes. The crisis is introduced when the town outcast Jasper Jones asked Charlie, a bookish young nobody of a boy for help. The reader sees Charlie’s internal conflicts of wanting to go with Jasper, feeling terrified, excited yet so wanting to be accepted by him Charlie does in fact sneak out in the middle of the night with his new friend. Jasper takes Charlie to the scene of the crime where Jasper’s girlfriend is hanging from a tree. The manner that Silvey describes Charlie’s reaction to the hanged girls is true to human nature, “I’m screaming, but they are muffled screams. I can’t breathe in. I feel like I’m underwater. Deaf and drowning.” This description foreshadows the solution to hide the body and Jasper and Charlie throw Laura Wishart into the lake. Unknown to either is Laura Wishart’s sister, Eliza. She witnessed the suicide of her sister and wrote the word “sorry” on the stump of the tree before she leaves. O’Connor takes us through a story of two former MMA fighting brothers dealing with a harsh family past (“Warrior”). Gavin has also directed the 2000 film, Tumbleweeds, and the winner of the Best Sports Movie Award in 2004, Miracle (“Gavin O’Connor”). Tom Hardy (Tommy Conlon) was also featured in a major 2010 film, Inception, and This Means War in 2012. He also played one of the main roles in The Dark Knight Rises as villain Bane (“Tom Hardy”). Ex Machina goes above and beyond when it comes to science fiction and philosophy, if anything the movie leaves us with more question than answers. In the movie we are introduced to Caleb, a person we think has won the lottery only to find out he was chosen to be a participant for a Turing Test against AI, Ava, to see if she can pass as human. We are also introduced to Nathan who is the AI’s father of some sorts, he is wild, crazy genius that throughout the movie we are never sure if he is trustable or not. Nathan represents humanity at its darkest state; he is a self-destructive drunk who seeks his own demise. When he talks about the future and how the robots he created will take over the world, he talks about with awe like he can’t wait for

Die Hard, a film directed by John McTiernan, successfully utilized several aesthetics, which offered viewers various meanings throughout the duration of the film. Although the diverse meanings grasped by viewers may differ, it was clear to me that McTiernan effectively applied elements of cinematography and mise-en-scene that resulted in viewers being allowed to interpret a range of different meanings or functions of the elements.

Meanwhile, Kelsey meets a number of characters, many of them down-and-outs and a group of bikers. She employs her new friends and makeshift family at The Changing Room but guards her past from them. When it turns out that one of her friends, Lisa, is on the run from the mafia, Kelsey must decide whether she trusts her people enough with her past fears to work together with them to protect their friend. To Kelsey, saving Lisa means preventing another loss like the one she suffered when Max and Nola kidnapped Nicholas.

Pulp Fiction is a black comedy crime film written and directed Quentin Tarantino (1994). The film’s “narrative follows the unpredictable actions and reflections of two hit men who philosophically meditate out loud about the Bible, loyalty, and McDonald’s hamburgers” (Corrigan, White, 368). The movie goes against the three-act structure of classic films as the story is told out of chronological order making the film so memorable to its viewers. Tarantino’s film begins in a coffee shop and also ends in the same shop. In the beginning of the film, it appears to be a soft, moist, shapeless matter of mass but as the movie progresses the audience can take away much more from the mundane acts they view on screen. When Beth goes out looking for Ellen she gets in an accident and is taken to the hospital. That night Dan goes to Alex’s apartment and attacks her and tries to strangle her, but then stops. While they are catching their breath Alex tries to stab Dan with a kitchen knife, but he gets it from her and leaves. Dan brings Beth home from the hospital and helps take care of her, Dan is downstairs as she starts a bath when Beth discovers Alex in the room with a knife. Alex attacks her and Dan hears the screaming and rushes in to attack Alex. He tries to drown her in the tub, but she comes back alive and is then shot by Beth.
