It was a November morning I have already arrived to the group house where I was gardening with Best Buddies. The plan of the day was to work with your buddy and make a container garden which was a clay pot filled with bright buds. The experience made me realize that I had to initiate leadership because it was my buddy’s first time gardening and I’ve done it before. I’m going to jump right in by saying that the reason I was chosen for this was because of my grades. So this will be the first thing I talk about. All of this year I have had an A for progress reports and report cards. Although my grades in subjects I’m not as good at have maybe dipped below, I have tried to get it above 90 when the grading period is about to end. In 6th grade I maintained at least a B, and I have definitely improved. I was in the Alpha program in 4th and 5th grade, and although I had a hard time at first, it definitely helped prepare me for my GT classes in middle school, which I excel in.
