It might have a positive or negative effect based on the innovation. Native Americans are a key example of this. When Europeans first started colonizing the Americas, Native Americans were pushed around and forced to adopt the new European culture. Today, some Native Americans still hold true to their culture, but a vast majority of native americans have accepted and embraced the new “American” culture. Instead of their native language, they speak English. Most Native Americans now wear jeans and a T-shirt instead of traditional clothing. Language is an extremely important part of culture, but also spreads, develops, and changes over time. Language is a part of culture and can be used to define a culture. To a Native American, ones heritage can define who an individual is and may become. When America was being populated by Europeans there was an effort to alter the way of life for Native Americans forcing them to adopt new ideas and abandon their traditions. This has led to modern Native Americans feeling like they have lost a large piece of their identity. Native Americans struggle in mainstream society because they have dealt with great trauma and don’t have the tools to help them cope in healthy ways. They have been torn from their homes and heritage, as there was “centuries of forcible removal of Native American children from their homes in order to be assimilated into mainstream American culture” (Wyant). The result of these kinds of actions
Indian remains were used as souvenirs in past events. American viewed the remains as a prize to show their strength as a nation. They showed the body parts of Indians as one would do in a museum. However, the body parts weren’t retrieved in a moral way, but rather taken from graves. This violation happens in America, when Indian graves were disturbed with soon after the Europeans arrived in the country. If this act took place shortly after arriving, then you could come to the conclusion that the Europeans did this sort of act before, and it wasn’t a moral dilemma for them. Later, the graves of tribe leaders were dug up in the center of the United States. The remains of these Indian leaders were put on exhibit. The disruption of Native Indians
In this following essay I will explain why I believe we should give the native americans money for our governments acts against them. Due to the recent 1800s, I've learned how harsh and devastating it was for the Natives to move out of there so called “homes.” I've realized the aftermath of what our government did and now understand the government had damaged their communities and how their industry went down and destroyed many future for the Natives. What I made sense of it is that we digged a big ditch that is hard to get out of now due to the lack of enthusiasm the Natives have and effort. Three reasons I believe Native Americans should receive money or investment from our nation are; that the Native Americans have the highest poverty
The concepts of today’s Native American Indians has changed considerably, however, our conception relating to the history of the Native American Indians has not changed much, but should.
Sometimes people in the second generation sometimes disown their parents – they want to assimilation and fit in. The first generation have a sense of pride and connection to their original homeland while the second generation wants to fit in and have there own security with there ‘new’ country. The culture paradigm shifts towards the state and away from their ‘nation’.
Native Americans and Asian Americans have historically been cruelly misrepresented in mainstream American media. We see the effects of this in the dancing “Apache” during halftime of a college football game or the ‘model minority’ labelled as foreigners for taking our jobs. While similar in overall degradation of cultural values and public image, I would argue Native Americans have suffered by lack of support for their values and culture within America’s schools and popular culture while Asian Americans have altogether been ignored because of their “foreign” nature.
The Native American culture is one that is often times overlooked in the society that we live in today. They were the first ones to settle in North America and have been here longer than any one else. Keeping to themselves has not really given the opportunity for the rest of the world to learn more about there culture that has a lot to offer.

We must care about all cultures and respect them as well in order to understand other human beings. I would define culture as a particular social group’s shared ideas, beliefs, and customs. Culture is important due to the amount of influence it has on people and how they operate their lives. Although, at the same time many cultures share certain traits which highlights the interconnectedness of culture throughout out the world. Language, writing, art, religion, trade, politics, social stratification, geography, warfare, sports and philosophy are all different ways in which cultures can differentiate themselves as well as link each other
