Others may need to have direct one on one assistance. Modifications can be as simple as having the assignment or test read aloud so that all students, not just the ones who need it read to them, can benefit from this modification. Knowing your students and their individual needs will help understand what modifications are needed and when. 3. What information do you think the assessment team might have asked Mr. Morse to collect about Marvin’s classroom performance? Mr. Morse will need to collect data on the many aspects of the behaviors being demonstrated in class. Collecting data on how many disruptions he has in one weeks’ worth of classes. Also, how many time he turns his assignments in late that week. He may also want to take data on just the outbursts in a class period, in order to determine how severe this behavior has become. 4. Mr. Morse, Marvin, and Marvin’s mother all participated as members of Marvin’s IEP team. What do you think each of these individuals was able to contribute? Mr. Morse will provide adequate data from all aspects of the intervention and reward expected behaviors. He will also support Marvin and Marvin’s mother in the hopes that Marvin will become successful at achieving his
In special education classroom, positive reinforcement is applicable when students transit from activities through following instructions as provided and avoiding any form of distraction as well as maintaining a reasonable level of noise in whichever circumstance. Observation all these guarantee students a ticket. A minimum of 30 tickets a week guarantees them candy from their teacher. This is seen a motivation to the students hence they strive to receive the ticket.
4. Do you find any evidence of any of Mark’s students taking responsibility for their choices, decisions and/or actions? If yes, give 3 examples, if no, what 3 steps could the students take to become responsible for their lives?
As an Arab immigrant who was raised in the United States since he was seven years old, who lived in Michigan seeing Arabs everyday and never felt like he was in a foreign country; and moving to NYC in 2015, changed the whole style of my life. NYC the tremendous city that I couldn’t find the people that I knew and that I understood nor those that understands me because of our massive cultural differences, and believes. The biggest problem is when I started school in NYC. The school system was different because in NYC they had regents, also their credit requirements were different, for that I was behind in credits and didn’t know what was the regents. Also, I came to school almost at the end of the First marking period of the second semester of freshman year.
On September 11, 2015, I was pulled over and accused of going 76mph on a road where the speed limit was 45mph. At first I was in shock because I was unaware that my driving was so recklessly, however, that same day one of my tires was found to be flat resulting in a trip to Tire Kingdom to purchase a new tire. When I arrived, a few of the mechanics on duty commented on the size of my tires. They informed me that the rims that were on my car at the time, and had been on my car since before I bought it, were nineteen inches long and the rims designed for my car are supposed to be fifteen inches long. They then went on to explain that due to the size of the tires versus the size of the car, my speedometer was actually displaying my speed to be
After completing this assignment, I feel as though the way I think and my outlook on certain things has changed in small, yet significant ways. For example, one of the most interesting myths, myth 28 (There’s Safety in Numbers), has changed the way I will react in situations of emergency. Having the awareness of the tendency to ignore someone in need when in a crowd will help me to overcome that tendency and actually help. I also found myths 15 (IQ Tests Are Biased against Certain Groups of People) and 20 (Researchers Have Demonstrated That Dreams Possess Symbolic Meaning) very interesting. I held some belief that dreams meant something more than just the random occurrences we see, so knowing they hold no insight into our minds and psyches makes me feel less distrait. As for myth 15, I simply found it amazing that so many people would rather blame the IQ tests for the inconsistencies in scores, rather than look deeper and take responsibility for the social disadvantages and prejudices against groups.
I met my best friend Briana Williams when I was eight years old, in the second grade at Flat Rock Elementary School. Ms. Wyatt our second grade teacher would always line us up next to each other because we were both about the same height. Before you knew it we began forming a friendship.
It was just a typical night on April 20th, 2015, that I was on my computer talking with my friend through Skype who gave me the idea to make an account on Skout because I was stil trying to get over the break up with Chris. And that's how it all started.... I was just scrolling down then I noticed a certain picture of someone that caught my attention. And it was YOU. I knew from the moment I saw your picture on Skout I know you were gonna be someone special in my life. I didn't know wether or not to message you first or wait and see if you were to ever message me first. But my friend told me to take the courage to send you a simple message to see if you would even message. The next day to my suprise to see that you had actually replied. You
1 score and 5 years ago I was asked to write a paper about today. Surprisingly I was spot on. Thanks to my family and all my teachers throughout my college years I am a successful Audio Engineer. I started off this journey 26 years ago in 2014 after being released from a prison program called Miami-Dade County Boot Camp. There I learned the discipline it takes to be successful at anything you want to do in your life.
•What sources did you use most in your reading? How did you find these sources?
For this assignment, I began logging my media usage on September 3th thru September 5th. Over the course of those two days, I used my laptop computer (online and off online), my android mobile device, television, and social media outlets. The most challenging aspect of this assignment was actually documenting the “spare of the moment” social media usage that occurred when I was walking to class or waiting on a meeting. However, it was truly an eye opening assignment that displayed how the media is not only a part of my everyday life, it consumes my life.
I would have to say that even though I would approach the assignment differently, I would, however, did the same in the fact that I would not have canceled my prior commitments because of the paper. I am a schedule fanatic, I have rarely ever in my life done something spontaneous, in other words I need list and get frustrated when my schedules are interfered with. So, I would have to keep my prior arrangements but find time in between to do the assignment. For example, on Friday when I got home I would have at least started working on the details in which I would write about. As we have learned in this course, I would have started my prewriting before I would have gone to the movies, and when I got back from the movies I would look over my
Base on data that my field placement teacher had already collected, I decided to review with the students over Perfect Verb Tense. This is one concept that a lot of the students had a problem grasping the first time and with the Georgia Milestones coming up, they needed some more practice. I know that most of my students are EIP students, so I picked a video to start with as a refresher and then went straight into a review game to keep the students interested in the lesson. Then from there, I picked activities that I knew the students could have fun with base on the interests of my students, activities I’ve seen them play with before, and base on what they are struggling with. For example, the foldable activity is a great activity for my EIP
During a given day in Mrs. Bakers classroom, student enter and exit the room quite frequently. Students come and go from their classroom to Mrs. Bakers room back to their classroom; some students do this twice a day. During the school day, Mrs. Baker taught ten students. When students arrive, they are greeted and then told what they were to do for that day. On the day of observation, tests were administered for assessment and records. All ten students did
The goal for the mother is for her to learn to adjust to her children getting older and needing more independence. The first intervention is for the Sue to let her son gain more independence by enrolling him into social events that include other children in his age range so that he can learn have to interact with others. Johnny will exhibited the follow inattentive behaviors which often times impedes his learning: Talking out of turn or moving around the room, trouble following instructions, especially when they’re presented in a list, often forgets to write down homework assignments, do them, or bring completed work to school, problems with long-term projects where there is no direct supervision, working within on a group project without being distracted and/or off task which often requires re-directions.
