It is my esteemed honor to submit a recommendation for Ethan Watson, and to write this narrative account in support of his application for selection as a student into Massachusetts Institute of Technology. As those who get to know him quickly learn, Ethan Watson is a student with an insatiable thirst for knowledge whom is a tenacious and persistent learner - one of the most driven students whom I have ever taught. But he is even more than what one might see by a cursory examination of his record and accomplishments. Ethan exemplifies calm, confidence, and successful pursuit of learning. Not only is he truly an independent learner; he has the ability to analyze situations and information in a way that few students demonstrate the capacity
Before this course, I had no clue how I was going to manage learning in college. All I knew, I wanted to go. I wanted to improve myself no matter how naive I was. Presently, it is the end of the class. But it is only the beginning for me at Walden University, and because of this course, I now know what to expect and what to do to be a successful Walden student ( State tax liens - myFICO® Forums. (n.d.)). In this essay, I will describe what HMNT 1001-10 Living and Learning in a technical world has taught me in the last six weeks.
He explains these lessons to us by breaking them down into two types of knowledge, fast knowledge and slow knowledge. By doing this, he hopes to create a more aesthetic, spiritual, and social environment in our lives. Previously when I attended Edwardsville High-school, they had many technology training oriented classes that I didn’t find appealing in the least and often slept during. Being able to be more spiritually, and socially interactive within the classroom has always been an education requirement of mine. Therefore, I agree with Professor David Orr when he says that our focus shouldn’t be primarily on high-tech
Reuben is a clever student who has achieved some reasonable results this year for Digital Technologies. His grades do not accurately reflect his true potential, but rather his effort. He was happy to just get passing grades, but he is far more capable and could be truly talented in this area of study, especially
This was by far the most challenging course that I have encountered while obtaining my Master’s Degree in Educational Technology from UCMO. That is not a negative comment as this course has actually impacted me professionally more than any other course I’ve taken to date. This course has taken more time to complete the assignments, more of my attention to detail, and more of my creativity. The last point was the best part about this course. I consider myself to be fairly creative and this course definitely allowed me to do that while bringing my somewhat odd personality to a professional forum. For this I am grateful. Let’s get to the good stuff, shall we?
Moreover, Dr. Leamnson’s article has challenged me to be a better student. It causes one to reassess oneself as a student. It also inspires one to look at all of the problematic areas that one may have academically, and encourages one to have a desire to reinforce that behavior with the “nerdy tricks” he provides within the
For me, this is a semester of exploration. I hope to clarify each aspect in the field of
to the program. How will your background enhance and broaden your learning and that of your classmates in Schulich’s dynamic environment?
Once at Virginia Tech, my tour guide, Zach, spoke with immense passion and epitomized his university as a technological powerhouse. Having already taken AP computer Science, I have learned fundamentals of Java, data structures, algorithms,
I feel honored and excited to write this letter of recommendation for Thomas Hayden as a potential doctoral student of your university.
Synopsis The main character, Oliver Watson, is a young, selfish businessman who is constantly being ridiculed by his self absorbed father and the general public. Because of his father, his business is running great, but Oliver hates it. He would do anything to not be in this line of work. Even at 34, his father continues to control much of what he does in his social and work life.
By 2025, Northeastern University plans to overhaul their education system and implement a new academic plan. This plan will follow developments in artificial intelligence which, as the plan states, is “as revolutionary as the global impact of the Industrial Revolution.” Known as “Northeastern 2025,” the plan, among other goals, strives to implement just-for-you learning. To determine how effective just-for-you learning is, this essay will first define what the term means. Next, it will discuss the pros and cons of this teaching strategy and gage what effect they will have. It will then consider the development of automation in terms of other recent technological development and the extent to which “Northeastern 2025”’s promises are realistic.
Mr. Bippes began his schooling at Texas Tech University with plans to obtain a degree in Electronic and Electrical Engineering. During his very short stay at Texas Tech University, Mr. Bippes found himself in an inappropriate relationship with one of his professors. Mr. Bippes reported that before the relationship was even discovered,
I am excited and genuinely pleased recommending Kyle Foerster for admission to the Masters Program in Computer Science at Georgia Tech. I have had the pleasure of knowing Kyle since he was in kindergarten and of working with him directly for the past two years as a pharmacy technician under my supervision.
From an early age, I have been fascinated by how things work. It seems, listening to family, that I was never satisfied with a simple answer that machine runs on power; but always wanted to know more. As I completed my undergraduate education in ________, I became more and more interested in pursuing an advanced degree in Biomedical Engineering. My well-rounded educational pursuits thus far have served me well, engineering complimented by a sound background in the humanities and hard sciences. I have, though, a robust passion to learn more, to hone my skills even more in a field that has simply exploded over the past decade biomedical engineering.
I commence this statement with a bit of my personality which has a direct bearing on my academic pursuits. I have always felt a strong need for achievement, which has been the motivating force behind whatever I have achieved in my academic career. My consistently outstanding academic record ever since my school years has resulted in numerous prizes and certificates of merit. My strengths have been my quantitative and analytical abilities which instilled in me a special interest for mathematics and physics. I had always been intrigued by science and used to spend a lot of time learning and knowing it. This fascination for science and keen interest in the ever-growing world of technology motivated me to take up engineering studies for my undergraduate and graduate study. I have always been in awe of the organized complexity of life’s machinery which
