The Lifelong learning sector is quite new compared to other sectors within the teaching industry. It is cultured from a government allegiance that helps to stimulate adults in the way they learn. This could be anything from a further education course to a work- based training programme. Lifelong learning is designed to actively encourage involvement whilst raising the bar of adult education after the school leaving age of sixteen. (Hitching, 2008)
My current role as a makeup teacher in the lifelong learning sector is to deliver structured and detailed lessons to students by using my own creativity and innovation to get my students to succeed. To do this it means I need to follow all my roles, responsibilities and boundaries that revolve around my subject specialism to the upmost professionalism and detail, so that all aims and objectives for me as a teacher and my students will be achieved and the highest standard of teaching is given. The roles that I have as a teacher are to plan and write up structured, detailed and engaging lesson plans that I can deliver to my students and keep them engaged, informed, motivated and bring out the best of their creativeness and knowledge during every lesson to help them meet and achieve all their targets, aims and objectives that are needed to help them pass the course. I can still remember coming home from school after an exciting day in the first grade. I would go straight to my room, line all of my dolls up in the floor, and “teach” them everything I had learned earlier that day. But of course, not every child who pretends to be a teacher in his or her early years actually becomes a teacher. So although I enjoyed “teaching,” I never really considered it as a choice for my life-long career.
The contemporary education should rather prepare students to what Brighouse defines as the self-governance that helps students to keep learning independently of educators. Today, people cannot stop progressing and learning anymore. Otherwise, they face the problem of the backwardness that deteriorates their competiveness in the labor market and just drop out of the mainstream culture. Therefore, the development of lifetime learning is the objective necessity and Brighouse gives implications to the importance of the lifetime education. A lifelong learner is one who takes the opportunity to learn through all kinds of situations whether they're formal or informal learning circumstances. When you're eager as well as hungry for knowledge, you're more likely to excel in your chosen craft. It's vital that you invest in yourself when setting goals, so that you can achieve them with ease.

As an educator, it is my job to find new ways for my students to learn that coincides with their particular learning style and takes advantage of their strengths. A Teacher is then responsible to plan the lessons in such a way that it meets all the students’ needs, ensuring that learners are on the right program and follow company policies and procedures.
In this regard, my ultimate aim is to empower my fellow students to understand how to take responsibility for their own particular advancement. I am able to do this by arranging and planning teaching and learning exercises that assess the necessities and well-being of individual students and groups of students. Learning for life is a life outlook where someone decides to seek personal improvement opportunities throughout their entire lifespan. There is always some area of knowledge or technology where additional or new information can be beneficial. Through the use of distance learning, conference attendance, and traditional classroom attendance, the learner can enjoy employment benefits, more pay and even physical benefits making living easier. Becoming a life-long learner can be an experience that improves nearly every aspect of life.
The aim of this essay is to give the reader an overview of the types of study skills necessary for a student to study for and attain a Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector. In it I will discuss my personal approach to study and the study skills I need to use on the programme. The essay will highlight the skills I feel are my current strengths and draw attention to the areas I need to develop. I will briefly describe and evaluate some different reflective models and in relation to these explain the type of reflective model I use and how this helps me to understand how I can improve my learning experience and my study skills in order to study more proactively.
One of the key reasons is in the United States many Americans consider themselves lifelong learners. With that being said, individuals may ask questions like, “What is a lifelong learner and how do people find themselves in this category”? More importantly, what is the digital divide? The purpose of this body of work is to answer some of these unanswered questions.
My teaching role is to deliver professional courses that meet the governing body’s standards whilst adhering to their policy statements and codes of practice. Whilst delivering courses I use a variety of teaching methods to engage, motivate and support my learners in achieving their goals. Examples include roleplaying emergencies with simulated casualties, discussion, group work, podcasts as well as course PowerPoint’s and guided study through the learner workbook. I hope that clear communication; passion, professionalism and flexibility in my approach are evident to all the learners.
