1. ABSTRACT
The result that an institution receives from the Savitribai Phule Pune University (SPPU) is in PDF (Portable Document File) format file. To analyze and manipulate them manually is very tedious job for a person. This is where text mining and file format convertors come into light to overcome this kind of problem. Text mining has an exceptional contribution for programmers and scientists to mine data out from textual files. Text mining overlooks the redundant textual data and only targets only on the required data patterns. Text mining plays important role because its center of functioning is devising patterns into necessary format or could be said that it derives a very quality of information from text. File format conversion has always been a bridge as well as challenge to access that particular data without particular tool. Different files have protocol set like internal and
Question 1: What forms of data do you use most often to make instructional or other decisions?
Drinking age is not a strange phrase in our lives. Every time when we go to club or buy some liquor, we have to show our photo ID to prove that we have already 21 and we are legal to drink wine. I think this is a really good method to control drinking problem. Before I read these two articles which are “The 21-Year-Old Drinking Age: I Voted for it, It Doesn’t Work” by Dr. Morris E. Chafetz and “The Drinking Age of 21 Saves Lives” by Toben F. Nelson and Traci L. Toomey, I only felt that when people grow up they will have self-control to hold their desire for drinking and could decide whether it is appropriate to drink at that moment. I didn’t collect any data or information to support my opinion,

For this assignment we needed to compute the mean, median, and mode for five quantitative variables. The five that were computed in this assignment were number of total prior arrests, number of prior misdemeanors, number of total prior convictions, number of prior felony arrests, and number of drug convictions. The mean is defined as the average in a group of numbers, the median is the middle number in a group, and the mode is the most frequently occurring number in the group.
d) The manager of Western Coffee notices that cleaning is not a critical activity in the sense that it can be delayed and be finished when there are fewer customers. Therefore, during the peak hour when many customers come in, workers can focus on serving customers and temporarily ignore the cleaning activity. Then how many customers can Western Coffee serve during the peak hour?
Is there ever an instance when a M.Ed. cohort student does not have to take EDUC 635? I have had 2 students, 1 reading and 1 C&I, call to ask if they need to take 635. The C&I student said his professor talked about 630 being different for those taking 635 and those not. The reading student said 635 did not show on her advising sheet, which it does on all the advising sheets I have. The first time I was asked the question, I assumed there was some confusion with the professor, but when I got the same question twice in 2 days it made me wonder if I had missed something.

Result- Based Analysis appeals to common sense. What is the greatest good for the greatest number of people? “A results based approach, is useful for administrators seeking the common good for the majority of citizens,” which is the pregnant women in the state of Jackson. (Bowman & West, 2015 pg. 119) When Olivia accepted the position as manager; she was unaware of Gloria’s actions. However now that she is in the position, it is important that Olivia makes the right ethical decision going forward.
“My PICOT statement was: “In elderly hospitalized patients 60 years of age and above, do specific fall prevention interventions, as compared to standard care, reduce the amount of falls in an inpatient setting, during their hospitalization?” For this paper I will be reviewing a quantitative research article based around my PICOT on fall risk within the hospital setting. Patient falls within the hospital setting are a nursing-sensitive quality indicator based around the delivery and care of inpatient services. As identified by the American Nurses Association, “fall rates are perceived to be the indicator that could be most improved through safety strategies and interventions” (ANA, 2002, p.179). In order to create safety strategies to improve fall risk it is important to identify which preventative measures work best within the hospital. This paper will be reflecting on the peer-reviewed Quantitative journal article found on the GCU database titled, Effectiveness of multifaceted and tailored strategies to implement a fall-prevention guideline into acute care nursing practice: a before-and after, mixed-method study using a participatory action research approach. Within this research article it states the severity of inpatient falls, specifically in the elderly, stating, “Falls are a common problem in hospitals, particularly in patients aged 65 and older. Around 30% of all persons aged 65 or older suffer a fall each
For this component, we plan to optimize the DSS in three ways: 1) by enhancing the knowledge representation of the patient database; 2) by adding a probabilistic component to the classification system; 3) by improving the prediction accuracy of the classification system through the creation of statistically coherent committees. We propose to revisit the machine learning choices made in our preliminary study and integrate into the classification process descriptive features represented in different formats. We hypothesize that the information they carry may be important to consider in conjunction with the information carried by other features. This is particularly important given the sensitivity of the new task that we are planning to study.
“With the development of specified diagnostic criteria, as exemplified in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM- III; American Psychiatric Association, 1980), and the creation of the Diagnostic Interview Schedule (DIS), it became possible to examine the incidence and prevalence of specific psychiatric disorders in the community. The Epidemiologic Catchment Area Study (ECA) has utilized the DIS in a multisite longitudinal study from which data are now being analyzed. ECA data summed across all five research sites provides evidence yet again that the highest rates of disorder occur in the lowest social classes. The six-month prevalence of any DSM-III disorder is 2.86 times higher in the lowest socioeconomic status (SES) category than in the highest SES group, controlling for age and sex (Holzer et al., 1986). The estimated relative risk for the lowest SES group in comparison to the highest SES group is 1.79 for major depres- sion, 3.59 for alcohol abuse or
The scholarly activity chosen is option A. The main purpose of choosing this topic was to evaluate a wide range of conflicts and predispositions of self and other employees. This self-analysis will better prepare an employee on ways to reduce and to solve issues as they may occur. This assignment will help identify an employee strengths and weaknesses. There are many people that have intelligence and can perform well on a job. One of the most important ways to accomplish these goals is for a person to be able to communicate with others in a respectable manner. A person’s character will help determine their morals and work ethics. Learning different obstacles and strategies’ that can better assist individuals when working with others. Hopefully,
The behavior was observed from a large sample of people. This included twenty people shopping alone and twenty people shopping in a group, for a total of forty subjects, each ranging in ages from approximately 19 to 40 years old. The subjects were observed from the time they entered the store until the time they left. The reasoning behind this was to see the buying behavior differences for the whole experience and figure out which areas of the store could be improved in order to appeal to groups of people shopping. The behaviors observed included the amount of time spent inside the store, the amount of money spent, the interactions with associates, and the areas of the stores that were navigated.
The objective of this chapter is to describe the procedures used in the analysis of the data and present the main findings. It also presents the different tests performed to help choose the appropriate model for the study. The chapter concludes by providing thorough statistical interpretation of the findings.
