Snowboarding is one of the most enjoyed international pastimes. It presents you with this feeling of freedom and raw power as the cold air hits your face while you carve down the almost vertical mountain face dropping over steep clips and carving trough trees. These are just a few reasons why so many people internationally flock to the mountains to partake in this sport. Snowboarding provides people an escape from there comfort zone by pushing them to take on risks they would never have thought off before.

Although novice riders do make up a large portions of the head injuries caused on the slopes there not the only ones who suffer from these horrific crashes. Contrary to the belief of some expert snowboarders there more susceptible to head injury then novices due to the facts that there pushing the envelope that much more. doing better and more intense tricks of heights of forty plus feet in the air. Just like everyone else even experts are sustainable o head injuries. For instance, one of the most famous cases of this is shown with Kevin Pearce. This shows that no matter what your level of skill accidents
I talk to the kids about my passion for snowboarding and I ask them what they like to do. Some say reading and some say cars, and some say they don’t know yet. I tell them to pursue the things they like because when you find something you love, doing it gives you joy like no other. If they haven’t found that passion yet, I encourage them to search for it and to try new things. I also tell them, if they ever want to strap a plank to their feet, I’ll be by their
Picture a world when everyone snowboarded. Would not that be much better. Snowboarding is way better than skiing for many reasons. Like how much easier it is to do tricks. Or if you plan on going down a hill it's easier to go faster. Plus off the hill, it feels better on your feet. “Skiing is easier to learn but, harder to master - whereas snowboarding is harder to learn but easier to master.”
In 2015, more than five million people participated in snowboarding, making it one of the fastest-growing winter sports. The very best places to snowboard vary depending on the different experience levels and preferences of those who participate in the sport.
My REV isn't the only snow machine i own. I also have an immaculate 1989 ski doo citation safari that can handle bigger jumps than any other sleigh in its class. I know this as a fact because i’ve seen sleds of other breeds or brands hit the same jumps my citation has hit and they fail miserably as their sled literally falls apart on impact. This sport can be so fast paced and adrenaline filled which fills my passion for the sport.
What is friction? Friction is the force resisting the motion of two surfaces sliding against each other. In snowboarding friction is present when the snowboard slides across the snow or ice. It can have two states either static or kinetic, in this case there is static friction since the two materials remain still and in contact with one another. Materials play a big factor when it comes to friction, their engineer have done research and found that fiber glass is most suitable for the snowboards top sheet, which is the surface that comes in contact with the snow. Although snowboarding cannot become friction less, as technology advances it is becoming more and more exceptionally friction
Every single snowboard has its own unique design. Each and every design is made specifically for riding a certain type of terrain. A few of the terrains include: backcountry, powder, park, freestyle, and several more. Any board can be road in every single type of terrain, yet, specific boards conform to the snow in which it is specified to be rode in. My board has the flying-v design camber in it. This specific design is one of the smoothest riding styles of boards that can be road in every single type of terrain with ease at it conforms to nearly every type of snow or terrain that it comes across. These boards in a sense can be considered the expert of their specific terrains that they are made to ride in. A person has the ability to be the
The first ever snowboard was not even a snowboard. The idea that first introduced the idea of snowboarding was called a Snurfer. A Snurfer was a simple board and rope that Sherman Poppen made for his daughter in the year of 1965. His invention became popular and he started selling them. Then, Jake Burton got the idea to strap his feet down to the board. It was a modified snurfer with bindings. He made a company called Burton and his company made the first official snowboard in 1980. In 1983, Jeff Grell made the highback bindings. These are the bindings that are most popularly used today. However, competition really boosted the sport's popularity which caused people to make the sport better and more enjoyable.
Every MLK weekend me and my family drive up to WI to ski/snowboard. This year though was a different story I accidentally broke my collar bone the week before and we weren't able to go. Every year we leave our house at 4:15 am we drive all the way through until we hit WI, then we stop at the nearest breakfast joint we see. We go inside and eat like maniacs then we are back on the road and continue to the slopes. When we arrive we put on all of our heavy snow gear and go inside there we rent our skis/snowboards. Everyone in my family skis except me. Justis,Jacob,Mom and Dad all ski. I Love to snowboard many people say it is super hard but it's not at all if you learn how to do it right.I learned with Matthew on a trip a long long time ago.

In addition to simply aiding our normal locomotion, shoes have been used to create new ways of movement entirely. The development of skis is somewhat debated, with many claiming scandinavian peoples were the first to invent them. While there are many archaeological examples of skis from this area, the oldest found were actually discovered near moscow, and date back about 6000 BCE. However, this is not the oldest evidence of skis. Cave paintings in china dating back to 8000 BCE depict the first known example of skis. The first ice skates, however, were found in Switzerland and date back around 3000 BCE. They used flattened bone to glide across the ice. It is theorized that ice skating developed alongside nordic skiing as flat boards
Surf the snow! I tried it and now I love it. I had never tried snowboarding or anything like it before and I wanted to be able to learn so badly. Today was the day I had been waiting for; I was going to try snowboarding for the very first time. I distinctly remember my first day on the mountain. It was a beautiful winter morning, the sun was reflecting off the snow covered pine trees and there was just a slight breeze through my hair. Snowboarding can be truly difficult at first, but once you get the hang of it snowboarding is an experience you will never forget.
After many years of skiing, I had decided to pick up snowboarding in 2009 to try something new. It was an exhilarating change. I loved the rush of speeding down the mountain on my board, the snow covered trees passing by. It was fun to feel fearless every once and a while since that was usually out of character for me.
