In the past two months i fell like i have accomplished a great deal. As i focus on it more i realize i have become a better reader. I did this by concentrating on my readings and take my time to read them. With the help of my professor and classmates i began to analyze what i read.

Malala was only 10 and as she already understood the major issue of her home country, Pakistan, as regards to their position on women’s rights. She realized in Pakistan women did not have as many rights as men such as the right of education. From that moment, she knew that she would fight for peace and democracy for the Pakistan women in her future.

During the course of Mrs Wagner's Accelerated English 10 class I learned a tremendous amount. I learned all about things such as TIQA, ANT, verb tense. I also learned a gamut of vocabulary words. So over the course of the first semester I blossomed as a writer and Mrs Wagner showed me the hidden talents within my brain.

LISA North scholars will choose either Wuthering Heights or The Namesake to read for AP Lit summer reading. We will use Google Classroom to discuss both books over the course of the summer. Each scholar will complete a CSRQ’d DIDLS with evidence from the text.

With every paper I write I learn something new. Shortly after starting my first semester of college I realized I would be writing a lot of papers. From term papers in every class, to an English paper due every few weeks. In English 101 I wrote a persuasive paper. With the coming to terms assignment I really dug into someone else’s persuasive paper and dissected it piece by piece. I recalled the rules to writing a persuasive paper and compared it with the op-ed article. I really enjoyed that I was able to do that because I felt that I learned something and I was able to apply my knowledge in a later class. Students in AP Language and Composition (AP3) are required to arrive to the first day of school having completed the “Summer Reading Assignment.” Students are to read Nickel and Dimed by Barbara Ehrenreich and the essays listed below. Then, complete the corresponding assignment (explained below). The assignment is to be turned in the first day of the 2015-2016 school year (August 29th, 2015).

This book was created alongside History Channel 's documentary series of the same topic. Even though they contain the same material, it is presented differently in both sources. While the documentary tends to focus on each day by itself, the book draws themes to tie together ten days in American history that changed the future of the nation. This book tries to bring to light the days in American history that are undervalued, in exchange for the large and well known events like the signing of the declaration and Pearl Harbor.

8:45 a.m. on a Tuesday; it is time to go to my English class. Excited and curious on what my classmates and I will read. Spending hours reading passages, short stories, fiction and learning how to analyze them developed my passion for reading. I’ve lived many lives and I’ve traveled to many parts of the world because I spend my free time reading novels. The way I see it, there’s a world in every book. Books aren’t just made up of sentences and paragraphs. Books are filled with lessons and meaning.

During the 1900’s there was a huge controversy regarding the information within history textbooks about the Japan and it’s neighboring countries. Two of Japan’s neighboring countries were not pleased with the way that these textbook were written so these textbooks needed to be changed. Those two countries would be South Korea and China. When writing about something that happened in a war you must remember to put in the correct information.
