Stating all the reasons as to why I am interested in the summer program seems almost impossible. I recently heard about this incredible opportunity from a peer who shares some common career interests. As soon as she mentioned the procedure on how to apply, I was ecstatic to start meeting all the necessary requirements. Being blessed with the news of being accepted into the Junior Volunteer Program will truly open many doors for me.
I have many plans that I wish to achieve in the near future. After I graduate from high school in 2017, I plan on going to a 4 year college to receive my Bachelors Degree in Biology. Moreover, I strongly desire to pursue my education even further by attending medical school at the prestigious Baylor College of Medicine to become a General Practitioner. I am motivated to graduate from medical school as the top of my class. After becoming a licensed G.P. and gaining all the required experience and training, I would be delighted to open up my own practice in a small town. I want to be able to provide the residents of the community with the superior health care they deserve by always continuing my education and staying

I am a kind person who enjoys assisting people and I always strive to make new connections each day. This program will help me improve my social skills which are very important in the field of science. Everyday, I would go into the hospital eager to complete the various tasks assigned to me. I am a person who likes to exceed expectations and does not settle for less. I will be especially beneficial to Baylor Scott & White due to my age, because of shared qualities and mutual interests with teens receiving medical attention in the facility. I can also be helpful with children as I have two little brothers of my own, one in elementary school and the other in middle
The foreclosure crisis is the second major financial dilemma of the twenty-first century. To solve this, the roots of the problem need to be dug up and exposed followed by replanting with an appropriately improved regulatory system to help build stronger roots for the future. It seems that the free market system can't be free anymore given its intertwining roots extend way beyond domestic to international financial systems. There are two fundamental causes to the latest credit crisis: 1) poor quality securitized mortgages and 2) insufficient underwriting for credit poor borrowers. Secondary (downstream) problems making the financial crisis more complex include underemployment and business failures. Many banks,
My father is going to retire in some years and my mother is a house wife. They both have invested in their house heavily therefore these reasons might affect my family’s ability to fund my college tuition.
I believe that my scholarship, citizenship, character, and willingness to serve and lead will be a great addition to the NJHS. When completing work, I am able to finish it diligently and efficiently. Whether it be volunteering at a race for wounded veterans, or doing classwork, I do it to the best of my ability. I would like to gain service experience through the NJHS. In the leadership aspect, I have knowledge from workshops. I am able to be a leader without being controlling in small and large group activities. When working individually I am able to keep my self-control, with a teacher around or not. This includes acting in a respectful manor towards teachers and students. I treat all of my peers with kindness, respect
My effort to serve my community have been an immensely important area that I always try to expand on. From my hundred and seventy service hours, I have learned that giving back even in small amounts positively affects the lives of the people involved. My favorite memories of serving my local area is during the special NJROTC ceremonies when I am able to see the wonderful faces of veterans and military families when we present the colors or the veteran with a flag. Through school, I have been able to see the faces of incoming freshmen in my workroom mature into the present sophomores and the students today. In my church, I am apart of the Ushering team which assists with the service every few weeks. Through this, I am able to see the bright
My nature to serve attracts me to the Houston Methodist Summer Teen Volunteer Program. My goals are to gain experience and knowledge about careers in medicine, and to give back to the community. I would like to learn a lot about how people live by the ways they get hurt or how they deal with being sick. It’s a good study of human behavior because you see people at their highest and lowest extremes of emotion. To further my goal of pursuing a career in medicine, it is important for me to get hands on experience of serving people and executing work in a responsible manner. When a person donates their time, they give hope to someone who needs it. I feel that I will be also benefited because I get to see how my contribution has made a difference.
Prior experience in the health care field will also help a student succeed in this program. In
I should be selected to attend the FSU CoM Summer Institute because I love learning, enjoy being challenged by hard classes and/or tasks, and I have always had a love for the medical field. I grew up with my mom’s side of the family being in healthcare, her being a doctor in Russia and a nurse in the US and my grandmother worked in a lab. Ever since I was a child, I always wanted to be a veterinarian, but as I grew older my attention turned towards people. I have always been very compassionate and kind towards people and I want to fix everything wrong in the world, which of course can’t be done. I decided that healthcare would be my best option, specifically being a surgeon. With this profession I will be able to help save lives and influence the world in a positive way.
I am grateful to have been able to pick up an application for this summer camp program. I know I will have fun learning all this new material that I can apply to real life. On the other hand, I will become better at peer relations, teamwork, and leadership- which currently I’m working on getting better at, so Camp Med will also help me become a better person in general. This is why Camp Med directors should let me attend this program because I have committed myself to developing into a better person to prepare myself for a career in the medical field. One more reason for why I am interested in Camp Med is because I have a passion for learning about medical related subjects, but Camp Med will allow me to be educated
High School wasn’t smooth sailing for me and my GPA wasn’t at its full potential. With senior prom and all my senior activities it felt as if time was slowly but surely running out. High school was some of my best years but I was dying to graduate and attend college and be on my own but in order to do so I had to score really high on the ACT or SAT. I was so nervous while taking the SAT and I didn’t do good as I wanted to, feeling defeated I studied really hard for the ACT. Even though I studied the butterflies when I entered the room where the test was being administered wouldn’t go away but I did feel more confident. I took the test and waited days for my results. I was so excited that I scored a 24. I learned that if you put your mind to something you will succeed every time. I took full responsibility for my future and I planned on having a bright one. I felt as a weight was lifted off of my shoulders. After receiving the good news I applied to a total of four universities and I was accepted by all of them. Even though I applied to different schools my dream college was to attend Louisiana State University. Unfortunately LSU’s nursing program is not like an average nursing program. Sadly their nursing program is not located on LSU’s campus
I am writing to thank you for your generous $1000 Osher Initiative California Community College Scholarship. I feel very honor and appreciative to be the recipient of this awards.
Ever since I was a young kid I have always been interested in movies. My grandma, who was full of the wise the life experience left, always knew about my interest in movies. She feed my vain for the art. Even though her religion, she professed Adventist of seven-day religion, didn't let her go to the cinema, she always found the way to took me to the cinema. She and I enjoyed watch movies. We used to sit in the darkness room, with our faces illuminated from the reflection of the light which rebooted from the screen, both absorbs in the plot of the movie which made us laughed or cried. After the movie, while we went back to her home, she started to talk about the movie. She had a particular point of view where the main story
Why do I want to participate in the summer research program including my goals for summer, strengths I bring and what I hope to achieve. An idle mind is a stronghold of the devil. No teacher would want to be stagnant in this age of growing technology and information. If I were teaching Math maybe I would not worry so much as 6 x 9 would equal always to 54 but in Science, things do change fast and as I blink my eye I can lose sight of a shooting star right before my eye. I want to be where the change in Science happens. And I am always fascinated about new things. And it has a domino effect with my students.I may want to go to a place to rejuvenate as school days are always busy but time flies so fast before you know it, it is back to school again.I always encourage my students to go to summer programs, recommend them to workshops and trainings; I think I need one too myself. If I want to be a better teacher and be better at what I do which is teaching then I need to be in a summer program. I want to learn new things and be productive at the same time. I need to grow, books and videos and articles in magazines are sometimes not enough. This is the reason educational tours or virtual tours are important. We need to get out of the classroom and see the world or see what’s on the other world. If not for these great scientists who persevered and persisted, we would not have known the beauty of the cosmic space above us and the bottomless canyon and snow covered mountains of the
Being a Florida resident, I would appreciate if I earned a 4-year college scholarship due to the fact that I have been active in helping our society become a safe environment.
What going to Northwestern State University means to me is to better my opportunities in life as a High School Graduate. The reason why I want to go to Northwestern State University is because of their Creative and Performing Arts for Vocalist like me. However, I don’t have any family members that has gone to Northwestern State University or any University but my brother who is currently enrolled at SAU. I would be the second person in my family to go to college and try to make a living. Going to college would mean a lot to me and my family to know that I have accomplished my goals and become successful. I want to be able to show the ones who have wronged me and told me that I wasn't going to be anyone in life but I'm not someone who would give up because an obstacle has come in my way no I will challenge myself to face it and achieve that goal.
We started the term off with our new and returning 'Penn boys' enjoying an evening of team building activities. This was a great way to break down some nerves and create new friendships. We welcomed many new boys to Penn house in September, all have settled in well and quickly became apart of our boarding community!!
