The process to produce plywood begins with obtaining the raw materials. The wood is then conditioned with water. The wood has to be sized and stripped of bark make it easier to handle. Then it is placed on a machine cuts it into thin sheets. Drying methods are used to add veneer. The sheets are sorted into four types of pieces: face, cross bands, core and back. Each wood layer is perpendicular to the fiber of the previous layer to add strength to the plywood sheet. The layers are glued and then pressed together by a cold press, which helps flatten the plywood sheets. The hot press afterwards is used to cure the wood. The thickness of the sheet depends on the use of the plywood. Finally, the plywood undergoes strict safety and quality inspections, then it is taken to be delivered.
