The domestic dog has to be one of the most unique animals that the human had ever bred. All dogs were formed differently and for separate reasons; whether it be for their looks or for their personal attributes, the dog has been evolved around humans and yet many breeds were created by humans themselves. I also believe that having a dog is a necessity to having a balanced life, just how Cesar Millan was quoted on the Brainy Quote web page “The dog can only become what's in your bubble. The dog is imitating the energy that is in your bubble. You are the source, the feast of energy. If you feel anxious, the dog becomes anxious with you. If you become nervous, the dog wakes up nervous with you”. Your dog runs off of your actions and emotions …show more content…
“A dogs sense of smell sometimes out perform X-Rays and CT scans at detecting cancers at an early stage by simply smelling a persons breath or urine.” Everyone is able to breed a dog to function in many different ways and for many different reasons. Mow explains how this is possible through his short movie Science of dogs. “Because of intensive selective breeding by cross breeding different breeds for different distinctive types of physical appearances and behavioral attributes; you will soon create the dog you were looking for and it will also have a consistency of creating the same breed of dog by creating a new genetic code in the dogs DNA”. For example there is one breed of dog that has the best sense of smell in the entire world and they were created for one job and one job only. Klim Sulimov explains what dog this is and how it was formed on the Science of Dogs, “The Sulimov dog has the best sense of smell in the whole entire world, and they were successfully created to identify explosives, he bred a Jackal with a Lapland Herding Hound, a Reindeer Herding Hound, a Fox Terrier, and a Spitz. Creating a dog that is highly trainable dog and a superior snout”. All these hybrid breeds are so successful because of how the dogs DNA is formed. The discovery of deciphering the dog genome was discovered by the Researchers at the National Institutes of Health on The Science of Dogs “Every piece of DNA is made up of four different chemical components
It's likely no surprise to dog owners, but growing research suggests that man's best friend often acts more human than canine.

Dogs have had a great relationship with humans for a long time. Now dogs have jobs, owners, and families. However, it was not always that way! In the past, dogs were known as wolves. Wolves were known as animals that would hurt or kill something as prey. Thanks to humans and their relationship to these animals things have changed.
Dogs were domesticated to do many different jobs. Some jobs domesticated dogs used to do thousands of years ago were farming and hunting. Each job required different breeds of dogs because some dogs have better senses for some jobs than others, here are some examples. For a dog to be a good farm dog it has to be intelligent and able to follow directions. A good breed of dog for this job would probably be a german shepherd according to the article “ A review of domestic dogs.”

The most common theory of where dogs became domesticated is in Western Europe. Dogs are believed to have evolved from wolves that came in contact with European hunters 18,800 to 32,100 years ago (Yong). Researchers studying the origin of the domesticated dog extracted mitochondrial DNA from fossilized dogs to compare their DNA to that of the european modern day wolf to see how similar the DNA is. The more similar the DNA, the closer related the animals are. (Landau). These test revealed that modern day dogs “last shared an ancestor 32,000 years ago (Yong) to the european wolf, “[pinpointing] Europe as the major axis of dog domestication” (Yong). Since the DNA of these

Some people would think that dogs innately know how to behave when they are leashed. Unfortunately, this is one of the many struggles of some dog owners. Although there are breeds that can easily just surrender themselves to be leashed, some breeds may just want to have their freedom. However, there will always come a time that your dog needs to be on a leash, particularly when you want to go outdoors and make sure that your four-legged body would not be accidentally hit by a car or just get lost from too much curiosity of the environment.
There are two types of dogs on the planet, working dogs and worthless dogs. If you are a pet lover I should now have your attention. The two types of working dogs I wish to share some information about is Police Patrol Dogs and Police Detector Dogs.
