The Mystery Ship
When I read this story it brought to mind all of those Dracula movies that I have seen where they show a ship coming into harbor with no one alive aboard or a ship full of corpses. The American ship Mary Celeste was seen sailing erratically by Captain David Morehouse aboard the British brig Dei Gratia near the Azores Islands in the Atlantic Ocean. The strangest thing was that the ship was seaworthy and all of its stores and supplies were aboard and untouched but there was not a single living soul on the vessel.

The illness has taken its first life and people are starting to panic. By this point the crew has done all they can do to get the repairs done pushing them self to exhaustion. The nurses and helpers are tenting to all the patients and distributing the vaccine as fast as possible and to the right patients. I believe the way they are only giving half doses out and waiting to see who doesn’t show signs of getting better before giving the full dose is working and an affective way to calm more people down. I would try and isolate patients from non-sick passengers as much as possible to help prevent spread.

In the story “The Open Boat”, there are four men who is a captain, a cook, an oiler and a correspondent. They were in a small boat after their ship sank off the coast of Florida. The crew headed to the lighthouse happily after the cook says there was a house for refuge nearby. But the fact is that no one is there, so they have to row back to sea. Then they saw some people showing up on the beach, so they believed to be rescued this time, but those people thought they were fishing. Then the captain decided that no one was coming to save them, therefore, they had to swim to shore when they still had strength. The oiler swims strongly, but he is the only man who is dead at the end of the story.
That has been what I have been doing on the ship for the last year. It wasn’t always just me doing this; I am the last member of my crew on its way back to earth. My crew, my friends, my family, all gone and I don’t even know how it happened. Maybe it happened when they were on there way back from the surface or maybe something went wrong on the ship ether way, all that’s left of the explosion is a big hole in the shuttle bay and a lot of gamma radiation. In fact the gamma rays are the only thing keeping me from investigating the area.

The Mary Celeste was a merchant ship in the 1800s, and was captained by shareholder Benjamin Briggs when the tragedy took place.
