This ties back in with another well known idea which is be humble no matter how successful you are. It shows that when one achieves success and doesn’t go around bragging about it how much of a bigger person they are. Tebow again is a very good example of this. At an early age his parents told him that you are only to talk about your success on field when someone asks about it (Tebow, 2011). This has helped Tebow keep a good reputation throughout his whole life which has helped him out in other things then just the football field. Tom Brady is widely considered to be one of the best athletes of today’s day and age, and thought of by many as possibly the best quarterback in NFL history. Numerous factors have led to his overall success in football over the past 20 or so years, but nothing has been as important as his own implicit personality structures. Brady has dealt with a lot of negative feedback ever since he started playing football; people telling him he wasn’t good enough to play or that he wasn’t tough enough to be a quarterback in the NFL. His whole career has been a balancing act of proving people wrong by continuing to surpass what was thought to be humanly possible on the field. He has clearly surpassed expectations on and off the field, because of this success it is acceptable to ask the question of how his personality has helped lead to his success in the NFL. Furthermore, Brady is clearly a person high in conscientiousness and self-control, therefore another question that could be debated is how would he cope with not being able to play the game he loves.
Vince Lombardi Vince Lombardi was a great man, many say. He exemplified that American ideal that greatness can only be achieved by hard work and discipline. However, Lombardi’s life was far from perfect. He did not begin his career as the head coach of the great Green Bay Packers of the 1960’s; hardly, as he began as a lowly assistant at a run down Catholic high school, just scraping by.
Roethlisberger and Blauner had different views about the society. They regarded the society as a family, that is, everyone in the society acts as one person to build one thing or achieve a particular goal. People are entitled to different roles in the society. Additionally, they believed the society is made up of a set of institutions and systems(Roethlisberger 570). These perspectives being for other philosophers, Roethlisberger and Blauner, agreed with them. The two also believed that the society is pluralistic and conflictual. In the society, there are people from different groups in which they meet and know each other and, later on, they oppose decisions of their leaders and the people above them.
