Literature Review In review of the literature, the impact of a Trump presidency on the People, American culture and the development of America, will seem to hinder the progression of the nation, as we know it. America and its greatness now seems to be compromised. As President Trump governs the nation, the nation as a whole appears to be more divided. The people of our precious nation appear to be divided. Thus, a Trump presidency has proven to be nothing less than controversial and seemingly detrimental to society. Among the literature reviewed, in order to understand Presidents Trump’s influence, it is necessary to decipher the ways in which Trump will impact the United States. Whether it is his views on immigration, presidential spending, healthcare, the economy, women’s rights, marriage equality, or bipartisan relations, the President’s views seem to not be in alignment with the nations goals, clearly the nation is resilient. America alone: The United States would survive a Trump presidency—but what about the rest of the world, is an article that looks at Trump as a candidate pre-election. The article goes on to say that the things that Trump proclaimed during his candidacy should not have been viewed as rhetoric, but rather his true intentions. Many regard Trump as a fool, who has no true plan for America’s …show more content…
The general consensus was fear and a fear of the unknown. Participants were more than vocal and expressed their many concerns. Vocalizing the, I did my part, I voted, I made the calls, I volunteered, how could this happen? It became evident that many Americans felt this way as just about every individual from the roundtable expressed this sentiment. Many felt as if the President was trying to reverse the progress of America, showing concern when it came to civil rights, women’s rights healthcare and the economy. The raw truth, the pain, and the disconnect all became apparent as the conversations
Donald Trump before he became the 45th president, his famous campaign motto “Make America Great Again” caught the attention of many Americans, but mostly by white Americans. Trump’s tactics made him a very clever man throughout the election, he had many techniques on how to gain the American vote. Throughout his campaign, he was attentive of the men around him. For example, Trump knew exactly what to say to get the attention of the American people. He already had in mind who he was going to pick in position for foreign policy, national security, and defense (“Donald Trump is the ultimate Machiavellian prince”). With this intention, he brought comfort to Americans, yet the people he was going to pick for these positions all have a common trait, which was all of them are specialist in the Middle East and Russia. Not only, was Trump attentive of America, yet he kept in mind how it was going to affect
Donald Trump’s 2016 presidential campaign has come at a time after having a president serve for two terms. Americans are eager for change. Donald Trump promises to be the change to fix the nation’s concerns about foreign affairs, and immigration
Throughout the first week of THE 225, many events took place within America that took the country by surprise. Trump’s inauguration was last Friday, January 20th, and already he has made drastic changes that will affect the lives of millions. His policies are based off sexist and racist claims that people have, for some odd reason, supported. With his new, corrupt policies, life in America will soon be set back decades because of his white supremacy mentality. Because of this, the nation has never been so divided since the Civil Rights Movement, something that was seemingly done with but clearly not if white supremacy becomes an issue. Although Trump’s America is not an ideal America and his claim to “Make American Great Again” implies
On the Inauguration Day of every president of the United States of America, the country looks to one man to govern the nation to prosperity. A great trial begins for the new president that will judge his ability to lead and manage a country. How he performs will determine the legacy he will leave behind. The imperative skill of strong leadership, particularly in times of tension and disaster, is needed in order to make smart decisions and compromises for the good of the nation. Sound leadership provided by a president gives the people of the country a figure to guide them through trying times. When analyzing presidencies, it is also important to assess the domestic accomplishments that took place during that particular president’s term(s), that is, the political, economic, and social changes pertaining to the United States that positively impacted the people and upheld the values within the constitution. Rutherford B. Hayes (1877-1881) and George W. Bush Jr. (2001-2009), although serving as president more than a century apart, have both left legacies that transcend history. Overall, Bush has had more influence on the United States when assessing his domestic, economic, and foreign actions; however, a majority of these decisions have had a negative impact on the prosperity of the US. Hayes had more influence on minority groups, specifically African Americans and Native Americans, but the rights of these two groups were not protected. Hayes was less influential regarding
With the impending election looming closer and closer, the approach of the presidential throne seems to elicit a plethora of opinions on who is the most viable candidate. However, the candidate that has caused controversy at every angle possible is none other than Donald Trump. Famous for his extreme affluence and most notably his TV drama, The Apprentice, President-elect Donald Trump has integrated his unctuous persona into his campaign. The San Diego Union Tribune’s article on Donald Trump, “…Great Power and Greater Irresponsibility”, introduces us with the possibility that Donald Trump is not the “Make America Great American” man he claims to be, and in fact he is the exact opposite. While for some Americans, his aversion to political correctness is admirable and induces a strong support; many are adverse to his social conduct and view his idiosyncrasies polar to the fabric of the Constitution. The article brings forth a target audience of both non-supporters and supporters alike in grave attempt to eradicate this supposed allure of Trump.
Election night was a night of uncertainty. On November 8, 2016, half of America was left in complete shock when several mainstream media outlets reported Donald Trump as the new president-elect. Everyone wanted to know what the future of America would be. Numerous celebrities took to social media to encourage individuals to protest for what is right. Not only did African-Americans protest but so did whites and many other minorities. We fear that he will be very reckless with foreign leaders, enslave black people again, and also continue his rash comments via Twitter. Like many others in my community, I believe that anyone who thinks he is unfit to be president should continue to
Many people believe that Donald Trump’s presidency is the end of America but, have they read and noted what he plans on doing the moment he steps into office? Donald Trump’s presidency will impact my family, peers, and myself in a positive way because of his economic plans to make more jobs for Americans, plans to improve the collapsing american infrastructure, and his vision on re-establishing taxes and tax policies.
What might a Trump presidency look like? With the general elections coming up in November, it is still unsure which candidate will accept their seat in presidency due to the uprising amount of Trump supporters. In the light of his publicity, the chances for Trump’s victory in the Republican presidential nomination has grown significantly since his winnings in early-voting states. Also, Trump’s lead in polls and his ability to put himself in the spotlight has contributed to the large turnout of supporters simply because of that fact that he is not afraid to speak his mind and his outrageous claims to make America “great again.” As Trump gains publicity, people must try to understand and educate themselves of the controversial plans that he intends to carry out throughout his
After following this year's election, I have acquired a vast amount of knowledge on Donald Trump and his political beliefs. He is an intelligent man. There is no doubt about that. He has many successful businesses, and he managed to somehow convince the majority of the United States to vote him as our next president. However, Donald Trump is a well known sexist and is quite bigoted in his beliefs. The only social class that he cares about is the wealthy upper class, seeing as he is a part of said class. Every choice he makes during his presidency effects this generation and the generations to come. As a fifteen year old who will be affected by all the choices he makes during his presidency, I have many concerns for America when Trump takes office.
Donald Trump wouldn’t be a good president because he’s gonna change up everything and build a wall and mark his words and make Mexico pay for the wall. All the food that the Mexican people are selling probably drop from the stores. He just want America great again, He just want achieve his goals. Donald Trump was born in June 14, 1946, he lives in Borough of Queen in New York City. Donald Trump has 5 Kids and Their names are Donald Trump, Jr. Ivanka Trump, Eric Trump, Tiffany Trump, Barron William Trump.
The fate of America is in the next president’s hands; if Donald Trump is elected president America it will be in Jeopardy. America’s government will change to Aristocracy upon his election. People of America idolize the president that’s in office, and if Trump was in office America would not be unified. Once Donald Trump is in office America will not be the same; he wants Deportation, trade wars and he is not a very good role model for the country.
In a short period, the new president of the Untied States has caused many uncertainty, which affected numerous people widely from the nation to worldwide by his statement, policies, and attitude since he was elected. Most people believe that the president is a rightist, racism, and masculinist. However, as a foreigner in the America, It does hardly feel that he has any influence on my life directly so far. However, his some actions, plan and statement already caused disturbance in my country and the world.
As Donald Trump thanked and congratulated the Clinton campaign after winning the 2016 presidential election we saw a remarkable change in his character. This sudden shift raises the concern of many Americans wondering why he has suddenly changed his plans for his presidential reign versus how he ran his campaign. Donald Trump’s campaign was thought of as a joke all the way up until he was actually elected as our next president of the United States of America. People even went so far as to vote for him as a joke and now that he’s been elected they are fearful of what
Donald Trump was elected president of the United States of America on November 8th, 2016, and now has been running our country for over a year. As Trump’s first year in office slowly began, his reputation seems to be creating different outside views of our nation and arguments started producing everywhere. After competing with Hillary Clinton for the presidential term in office, Trump defeated her along with her democratic supporters causing one of the most shocking elections in U.S. history. Using public media web pages, we are reviewing both sides of the argument regarding Trump’s election and we are going to decipher why each arguer supports their side, and why each side is reasonable for the benefit of our country.
Will Donald Trump fulfill America’s request and actually “make America great again”? When friends of mine who are Trump supporters inform me that they support him, I don’t understand the reasons why they picture him as our future president of the united states. Donald Trump has never been an elected official. He has never been elected into an office of any kind. He’s never had to broker political compromise or gave any political speeches prior to him running for president. With no experience in politics at all, why would people think he’d make a good president? Sure, Donald Trump is a barefaced self-promoter and experienced businessman. But people don’t realize all of the mistakes he has made as a businessman. Washington, D.C., is not a type of Wall Street or anything for him to lose money or make some reckless decisions that would put our country into a deeper hole that we are already into, and also getting multiple things done within the nation’s capital takes more than a huge personality and a strong will. If Donald Trump is elected to be our president, he’ll have to quickly learn how to deal with his Democratic associates in the House of Representatives and Senate. He’ll also have to get used to the pace of government because there are moments when things can accelerate pretty quickly and also where things can move extremely slow at times. He’ll also have to get used to giving speeches on topics he may not be interested in, especially when it comes to conversations
