Bettering the world of business has never been so important. In today’s highly global and connected society, enhancements in business often lead to global improvements. Therefore, as future business leaders, we must be cognizant of our duty to further industries and our world. I have realized this call and made strides in my current role to improve vehicle safety, technology, and competitiveness. Following business school, it is my goal to continue this advancement in the automotive space. Short-term, I plan to join a rotational/accelerated development program at a leading automotive manufacturer. This will allow me to bolster the leadership skills I will learn at Tuck, while also providing experience across an array of functions. Long-term, …show more content…
Tuck’s tailored core curriculum will help me piece together key business functions, while electives such as “The CEO Experience” and “Strategic Leadership” will force me to think big and think as a leader. The strength of Tuck’s general management education and its application during FYP will guarantee success in my post-MBA development program. Meanwhile, Tuck’s dedication to global exposure will imbue me with a renewed world view, allowing me to understand diverse markets and cultures. Finally, I am excited to return to a community similar to the one I experienced in …show more content…
While some may question the influential power of a program operating in a removed setting, there are those of us who understand the crucial importance of such a habitat. The thought of returning to an environment where living and learning occurs in the same space energizes me, as the last time I was in such a climate I flourished – both academically and personally. Furthermore, I look forward to furthering my wisdom in a place that fosters collaboration and thus a strong alumni network (noted by the 70% giving rate). Conversely, I will contribute to Tuck with unique case method participation stemming from my success/struggles in a complex industry, active membership in the Rugby and Ski/Board clubs, and the forging of impactful relationships that enhance the Tuck community.
Though an early step in a long journey, business school is a critical move to infuse me with skills that will govern the remainder of my career. While only two short years, time spent at Tuck comes with life-changing knowledge that will transform me into a wise leader. With this wisdom, I will be able to exercise sound judgment in an industry capable of bettering our world and saving
Although the many roles of a business professor are difficult to determine, Mercer University’s mission statement provides a surprisingly thorough account of these roles. The mission statement, “to teach, to learn, to create, to discover, to inspire, to empower and to serve,” may not seem like a description of the roles, but one would struggle fruitlessly to think of a great business professor who did not fulfill these roles. The importance of these roles is undeniable, however, among these roles, learning is especially important and is also the most appealing to me. This appeal is due not only because learning is the precursor for other roles, but also because of my personal adoration of learning.
The automotive industry has become one of the greatest industries today and is one of the world’s most crucial economic sectors by revenue. All the same, not only does automotive industry develops and manufacture but it also markets and sale motor vehicles globally.
Hours upon end are spent, face buried in a laptop or newspaper, analyzing stock dividends and bonds yields. Warren Buffett books and Wall Street Journal editions - a glimpse of the night stand that has well deservedly earned me the label “business nerd” by family and friends. I have, if not an obsession, a passion for studying finance. Aspiring to work in Investment Banking, I applied to Ross as it provides excellent exposure to the world of finance through premiere recruiting opportunities and a well-constructed business curriculum that merges the science of economics with the cultivation of leadership. At Michigan, freshman students are subject to a liberal arts curriculum, which I believe can benefit me in becoming a well-rounded student. Although I have a passion for finance, I cannot imagine isolating my studies to one subject for four years of school. In my Sophomore year, I would dive into financial studies such as accounting and business strategy; but Ross also emphasizes the ‘positive decisions’ course, which interests me because it acknowledges the impact that economic decisions have on society. Coming from a middle class background, I find it important to acknowledge the effect that the cost of living or price of gas have on family finances. Ross’s Junior and Senior curriculums step past the theoretical studies of economics and into the real world application of business skills, such as ‘communication strategy’ and ‘corporate strategy.’ I believe exposure to a collaborative environment in these years can assist me in cultivating a team
Despite the aforesaid I was determined to brake the chains that society had placed upon me, and apply to colleges. Upon receiving my acceptance letter to Rutgers University I vowed to make the most of any opportunity that became accessible to me and I started with my undergraduate career. Last May I graduated cum laude from Rutgers University. While enrolled I lead, governed and regulated a myriad of organizations and attained numerous high titles. I
Fortifying its core business by building on its global leadership in trucks, vans, commercial and performance vehicles and growing in global utility vehicles.
In an overall sense, I feel that there has been a lack of real world correlation. Although many teachers have taught me a lot, as Dr. Woodyard says, “Unfortunately other students at bigger schools may have an advantage in the business world since they have more of a focus on their subjects. However, the OS program will allow you to get back in that race”. As of now, I have the desire to learn from more than simply sitting in a classroom and I am searching for more of an active opportunity. I believe the OS program is what I am looking for, as I will be able to learn in the form of seminars, projects, and workshops.
· Setting communication infrastructure will be the first step to start a business. The Seton Hall University MBA program will provide the opportunity to become one step closer to my professional goals. As an Engineering Technology student at Northern Illinois University (NIU) playing Division I baseball, I have learned an exceptional amount about myself in these past four years and the type of person and leader I hope to become. My athletic experiences at NIU have had an invaluable impact on the person I am today by exposing both my strengths and weaknesses. An MBA along with my athletic background and engineering experience will help achieve my career goal of entering the professional sports industry.
The wounds of my past attempts at a successful company having long since healed. The scars remain and I am wiser for that. All things considered, almost thankful for the experience. As has happened before in my life, a new catalyst burns within me. This one is driving me towards soaking up everything I can from CSU - Fullerton and its MBA program. Namely, equipping my professional toolkit with more diverse tools than I now hold and achieving my ultimate goal of running a successful company that improves

The MBA program was introduced for the first time in the United States in the early 20 th Century and was modeled on the basis of the prevalent 2-year graduate programs. It gained significant traction after its inception, however was later criticized for its lack of practical relevance.
