Thank you for your response regards to "Rolling Meadows Community Hospital". John did not act in a fairly manner by not giving the intern the position. Even though John did confess his truly feelings it still ended up being an altercation not only for him but the hospital as well. I agree where you stated "This provide an understanding that just because one doesn’t physically touch or ask for physical contact doesn’t mean you can’t get in trouble for comment." I believe John felt like he could get away with this case just because he was the CEO of the hospital but it obviously does not matter what type of position you hold in a work environment; this should not be tolerated at any work environment.
Mr. Hamilton was interested in this scenario only if the facility was Walker Rehab in Carbon Hill, and if he could leave the facility to walk around the neighborhood whenever he pleases. After a discussion with Ms. Ginger Kilgore, Mr. Hamilton was informed that Walker Rehab does not accept his Medicare Advantage plan, and no facility would be receptive to the idea of Mr. Hamilton walking off premises. Ms. Kilgore stated that Mr. Hamilton can remain in the hospital until Monday, at which point his referral may be accepted by a local nursing home and he can transfer to their facility. Mitchell explained to Mr. Hamilton that if he agrees to this plan, he will remain in an air-conditioned environment and fed three meals a day until at least Monday, thereby avoiding the possibility of being outside in likely the hottest weekend of the year. Mr. Hamilton again refused to stay in the hospital for another day. Ms. Kilgore stated that there was nothing they could do to keep Mr. Hamilton there. He has no behaviors to warrant a psych hold, and he is medically fit for

The consignment of all medical care appointments are over sought by Health Net, which authorizes all non-service, secured care. PCPs are highly fortified to communicate with veterans with a courtesy memorandum for their medical appointment. PCPs must adhere to the subsequent standards

Improving medical care can have secondary impacts on the VA health care system. The prevalence of SCI is relatively low, and we assumed that the availability of telehealth would not be a sufficient incentive for patients with SCI to enroll in the VA health care system if they had not done so earlier. Consequently, demand for SCI care only among current SCI patients was explicitly modeled here. We assumed no change in demand for other conditions because there was no guidance for predicting such changes and because the variation in changes could be large. Finally, we assumed no changes in staffing at the VA as a result of telehealth use.

The Miami VA Healthcare System serves Veterans in Miami-Dade, Broward and Monroe counties and operates a total of 372 hospital beds (US Department of Veterans Affairs, Veterans Health Administration, n.d.). Since the VA system is owned and run by the federal government, audit requirements in order to provide dietary and nutrition care services in the inpatient, outpatient or long term care setting are different compared to private sector hospitals. Hospitals and health care organizations get accreditation from the Joint Commission in order to meet federal requirements and get payment from Medicare and Medicaid programs (The Joint Commission, n.d.). However, since the Miami VA Healthcare System is a government organization and at a higher level is not required to do so (M. De La Cera, personal communication, January 12, 2017). Nevertheless, the Miami VA requests unannounced visits from The Joint Commission every three years to monitor and strengthen their performance excellence as well as keep their ongoing commitment to the safety and quality care of their patients (Office of Public and Intergovernmental Affairs, 2016). Furthermore, the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA) conducts unannounced onsite reviews of the Community Living Center (CLC) to review processes and procedures. Inspectors from AHCA seek

A Marketing strategy is necessary to develop and implement for all health care organizations. Rush University Medical Center in Chicago learned this lesson in the most difficult circumstances. The leadership assumed the reputation of the facility would be enough to stand up against all other health care facilities in the surrounding area; supplementary publicity or lobbying was necessary. As time passed on, it was very obvious by the drastic decrease in patient census and revenue that something had to change. The implementation of an environmental scan in that particular instance would greatly influence the facility in a positive manner. It is an approach that assists in the process of identifying and recognizing all the marketing elements involved. The first step of the environmental scan is an assessment of the five major environmental forces and trends. Next, evaluate the potential impact on the organization’s target market and adjust the organizations marketing mix strategy as appropriate (Berkowitz, 2011).
