These men and women are important, because they risk their lives every day for the United States of America. Those who are veterans are those who fought in the wars and those who leaded the troops. Today we honor those who are no longer with us and those who are. Veterans day is important to me because it is where we see Veterans down the street and shake their hand and say thank you we don't get that opportunity that we almost never get so when you get a chance shake their hand.The thing that you served the most is for are freedom and for what we can do that you make sure we can go to school each day, go to a job each day. We have Freedom of speech and goodwill is useful because it helps to give children around the earth to get clothes to people that need it to survive the winters they get to have toys to play.Freedom of Speech it gives us a say in what we believe like a town meeting where everyone gets a vote or say in government.

I have always had the upmost respect for veterans and thought very highly of them. Ever since I was a boy it has been my dream to become a soldier. My uncle was a veteran and I heard many stories about Vietnam and it just made me want to become a soldier. My uncle was in the Marine Corps and every time he told me a story it made me want to join. Now at the age of seventeen years old I am ready to enlist into the Marines. It is a big leap in my life that I would never have the opportunity to take if it wasn’t for one life changing moment of my life.
