The nurse deserves to be blamed for the lack of responsibility and selfishness acts that led up to the death of Romeo and Juliet. One would say this because it was her responsibility to take care of Juliet and guide her to the right path. It was her responsibility to inform Lord Capulet about whatever events that was happening and inform about anything abnormal going on with Juliet. The ideology that everything in the universe has a specific place and rank in order of their hierarchy importance created by God is known as the concept of The Great Chain of Being. The order of this concept consisted levels according to highest rank to the lowest accordingly: God, angels, humanity, animals, vegetation life, leading all the way down to crud. Within each category, more specific classification existed, placing these subcategories in a specific order. This concept was believed to be a way to keep the universe in order. As this was believed during Elizabethan times, William Shakespeare also believed in the Great Chain of Being, as many of his plays are prominently based on this concept. Some of his plays include characters that accept their place on the Chain, but others are not so complacent. By examining three different characters from Shakespeare’s tragedies, The Tragedy of Romeo and Juliet, The Tragedy of Macbeth, and The Tragedy of King Lear, it is obvious to readers who is content with their place on the Chain and which characters have a difficult time accepting their place. Romeo and Juliet do not obey their parents’ orders, therefore suffer harsh consequences towards the end of the play. Macbeth is another Shakespearean character that violates the Chain, due to the committing of several murders, in order to gain the throne. The play tells a story about “two star-crossed lovers” named Romeo and Juliet, who live in two different households that hate each other. Many problems arise with Romeo and Juliet loving each other, but being enemies in nature. The story is told by many characters, including Romeo and Juliet. Through this, Shakespeare uses dramatic irony, repetition of epithets, and pathos to show how love brings sorrow and grief.

I blame The Nurse ,because she always want Juliet to date a gentleman. She was the messenger for Juliet and she the one put the rope ladder at her palace ,so that Romeo can make love to Juliet. She was the only one to know that Romeo and Juliet are married secretly at Friar Lawrence church. The Nurse should of let Capulet and Lady Capulet know that Juliet is in love with Romeo not Paris and Juliet is married to Romeo. Also, she should of let Paris know that Juliet is not in love with with Paris ,so that Paris won’t be in love with Juliet.

She was one of the only others, besides Friar Lawrence, to know about their marriage. Mainly, she lied to the Capulets for Juliet. She helped Romeo and Juliet to meet in the first place, telling each other the others name. She also helped Romeo to sneak in and out of Juliet's room on their wedding night. The Nurse also played a big part in hiding the marriage between Romeo and Juliet. She delivered several messages between the two, bringing a message to Romeo when he was with Mercutio and Benvolio. The Nurse also delivered Juliet's ring to Romeo when he was with Friar Lawrence. Finally, when Lady Capulet announced that Juliet was going to marry Paris, the Nurse agreed with them. She told Juliet that she should marry Paris and forget about Romeo, even though she was already married to him. This upset Juliet, and caused her to go to Friar Lawrence without asking the Nurse for help. If the Nurse had helped her, she may never have gone to Friar Lawrence for more help. It is clear that she is partially to blame because of her personality flaw but also external forces such as family expectations played a role in her death.

As popular as it is for it's ending, we can't help but wonder if suicide was the answer to stop the family feud. I believe that this play wouldn't have been a tragedy if it wasn't for two lords, Tybalt, and Friar Luarence.

I believe that part of Juliet's death was because of the Nurse as the Nurse was the one who passed messages between the characters.In addition to,other then Romeo the nurse was the second person Juliet trusted most and she(nurse) lost all trust from her(juliet) own nurse which was a huge mistake in my eyes beacuse Juliet told all her secrets to the Nurse and when the Nurse told Juliet she should marry Paris and leave Romeo, Juliet was heart broken and so was her trust which led her to follow Friar Lawrances plan of faking her own death.Juliet faking her own death was the biggest mistake created by Friar to save the

Betrayal is often showcased openly in all types of media as it creates irony, suspense, and drama. In the play Romeo & Juliet by William Shakespeare, he shows many different types of disloyalties. Shakespeare uses the idea of betrayal in a negative way, which creates a lot if irony and drama in the play. Juliet is betrayed the most in the play, first by both her parents, the Nurse fails in supporting Juliet and her decision of not wanting to marry Paris, and lastly, the Friar does not understand Romeo and Juliet’s love for each other.

The scenarios within this story are so ridiculous that they cannot be taken seriously, and therefore this story cannot be considered a tragedy. The first example is when Romeo first met Juliet at the Capulet's party, he told her, “Dear saints, let lips do what hands do,” which means if he kisses her, his “sins is purged.” Without even knowing her, he kissed her. That evening, they promised to get married the next day. Is it really a tragedy if we knew how it was going to end in the middle of the story? Well William Shakespeare in the story Romeo and Juliet told us the famous ending about midway into the story. Romeo was a Montague, and Juliet was a Capulet. They were two lovers caught in a nasty hatred between the two families and they believed that the only out and to actually be free and have a chance to be together was to take their lives. William Shakespeare though left many hints that the main characters Romeo and Juliet may not live to the end of the book such as Shakespeare talking about star crossed lovers taking their lives, mentioning what would happen if the two were seen together,and marriage.
