Please provide a feedback for the research proposal outcomes following this Expected Outcomes The expected outcome of this study is that bullying resulting from ageism is a prevalent issue in the psychosocial safety of blue collar workplaces, and those entering the workforce and nearing retirement are most vulnerable. The researcher predicts this bullying can affect stress, work performance, tenure, and temperament in the workplace. Thematic analysis will be utilized for each participant to understand the depth and extent individual experience in workplace ageism, then analyzed in group content and compared with the rest of the data in existing studies. The questionnaire and interview transcripts will analyzed entry by entry to compare and contrast descriptive wording. These findings will prompt follow up questions in the final interview which will also be analyzed. The author will perform data analysis meticulously on MicroCase over the course of several weeks to give time to finely sift through the data and make specific connections among participants. This analysis will yield rich interpretations of how each participant's answers diverge and intersect in their experiences with workplace ageism. The research methods of the interviews and questionnaires are anticipated to yield detailed findings as data collection is threefold. The medium of the questionnaire and unabridged recorded interviews will give the researcher access to quotes from the input of the participants to use their own words to describe their experience. Only 15 participants will be chosen to have time to intentionally analyze the data of each of them. Practical application will require blue collar workplaces to be informed of this data and take action through policies and workplace consequences. This sample cannot be generalized to the working public but is a step toward awareness for creation of preventative measures in work environments to ensure future protection of workers against ageism.
