Wash down the sides of the beaker, the outer space of the pipet and the watch glass with water and dilute with water to about 100 ml. 6. With stirring the solution, add about 30 ml of disodium ethylenediaminetetraacetate solution from a 50-ml burette. 7. Add 15 ml of sodium hydroxide TS and 300 mg of hydroxy naphthol blue indicator. The adilion of the indicator will turn the colorless solution to a dark purple color. 8. Continue the titration with the disodium EDTA solution to a distinct blue end point. 9.
