Question

What is an example of translocation?

Expert Solution
Step 1 Introduction

Translocation is a chromosomal aberration in which two non-homologous chromosomes exchange their parts. It is of two types reciprocal and non-reciprocal. In reciprocal translocation there is a swap of a chromosome segment which results in two translocated chromosomes. In non- reciprocal translocation there is transfer of chromosome segment from one chromosome to another.
