Adnan Syed was a golden boy to people; he was smart and loved by everyone. He never thought he’d be convicted of his ex-girlfriend’s murder, neither did anyone else. In fact, when he first received a call from the cops regarding Hae’s disappearance he brushed it off, more scared at that fact that he was high on marijuana and talking to a police officer. He thought Hae had just ran off to California, just like everyone else. However, when they found her body in a park notorious for being a body dump his whole world turned upside down. Soon after this a friend of his, Jay, confessed to the police into helping Adnan with Hae’s murder which then put Adnan behind bars. However, was Jay’s testimony true? Unfortunately Adnan’s case has many flaws and lies to it, and the true answer still remains; is Adnan Syed actually innocent or guilty all along? Adnan Syed was a senior at Woodlawn High School located in Baltimore, Maryland when he was convicted for the murder of Hae Min Lee. At the time of this call Adnan “should’ve” be in school according to his remembrance at that time but since Jay wasn’t calling her then it had to be Adnan. This puts him in the car with Jay. This piece of evidence suggests Jay’s testimony could very well be true that he was with Adnan during the murder, putting Adnan in a guilty position. However, cell phone records state that even though the call was longer than two minutes it still doesn’t mean that someone had to be talking, a voicemail over a minute is recorded in the call log meaning it could’ve been an accidental call registered. Overall, there is a few select evidence that does match up with Jay’s story of Adnan actually killing
