It is safe to say that everyone has or will encounter an occasion where they will experience a challenging communication interaction. Unfortunately, I had the opportunity to experience a few, with my most recent altercation involving an administrative assistant at an eye care center in Charlotte, NC. A week prior to experiencing my conflict, I called the eye care center to place an order for new contact lens. The customer service, via phone, was professional and polite. Purposely, I asked the administrative assistant would my contacts be ready for pick up for the following Thursday. I asked this question simply because I do not live in the area and I would only be able to pick up my order on that particular day. Politely and with much confidence,

We found more than more comment from an angry customer who had canceled their home consultation, or decided not to purchase replacement windows right away, only to receive “daily, obnoxious” calls from schedulers trying to get back in the door, so to speak. These call center agents can be a bit too passionate about setting appointments.

On a good day, walking into a business to solicit a different product, service, or partnership opportunity means that a decision maker has been spoken with and an additional appointment may be established so that decision maker can have more available time to hear what is being pitched. More than likely, however, a card or name will be collected with contact information and that particular individual must create a method of re-contacting those potential business opportunities at a later time. Through the use of VOIP, or voice over Internet provider as a less expensive way for a business to have phone services, a call is made to create a relationship that could potentially provide additional opportunities. The salesperson acts as the sender with the purpose of selling his company’s products or services. The receiver should be the decision-making contact that had been collected while cold calling. The environment is more than likely a cubicle to personal office setting and depending on how the day of that decision maker is going will determine if the noise becomes too distracting. If the message is delivered successfully, hopefully that salesman will receive positive feedback.

Whenever you make a call you are your companies representative so it is always important to be as polite and as helpful as possible as this may in turn create more custom for your business.

The expert providing the information over the phone would be referred to as the sales & support team who will push the levels of sales. The line of work or industry they are in is the banking industry that provides the financial services to its clients. Yes, there is evidence that the salesperson had prepared for the transaction. The way with which the sales person has been talking to the client portrays the way he has been handling such situations in the past (Ramsey & Sohi, 1997). The listening skills of the sales person were quite empathetic. The sales person cross questioned the client & tried to judge the requirements of the client. The sales personnel used the possible information to tell about the services being offered by him & its usefulness to the client in the near future. Since, it was a sales call carried over phone non verbal communication techniques could not be observed. The language used by the sales person was a bit complex. The client asked for reconfirmations & clarifications in terms of the meaning of the words, etc. The sales person used the RATER Model to identify the needs of the customer (Martin, 2006). The needs of the customer were divided amongst various categories such as reliability, assurance, tangibles, empathy & responsiveness. There was an agreement amongst the salesperson & the customer. The sales person handled the argument in a very tactful

Information communication is getting the information to the customer in a clear and decent manner. Using communication is a huge part of the sales process. Making comparisons of your product and your competitor with the customer making the decision of what product is best for them.

Not only trouble shooting, call centers are also set up for the purpose of selling products, receiving customer feedback through telephonic interaction with the customer, doing customer satisfaction surveys, provide live support for software and are in other words known as contact centers.
