3.9: Research Instrument. This study proposes to use a structured self administered survey questionnaire to collect the primary data from the study respondents. A Questionnaire is quantitative tool for data collection. The rationale for using questionnaire is that it is cheaper, flexible and allows for replication of the research procedure thus enhancing validity of research findings. Being a study leaning on positivist paradigm Quantitative methods of data collection will be predominant, however qualitative methods can be used within this paradigm Mertens, (2005) 3.9.1: The structure of the Survey Questionnaires 3.9.1.1 Survey questionnaire 1 This questionnaire will capture the Demographic profile of respondent, Technological, Organizational and Environmental factors. The self administered survey questionnaire will comprise of sections A-F. Section A will seek to capture demographic profile of the respondents, thus gender, age and education levels and size of the organization. The four items will be in the form of multiple choice questions in which respondents will be required to choose only one choice. Section B will seek to measure the level of adoption of E-Marketing by their organizations based on a four item multiple choice questions in which the respondents will be requires will be asked to choose only one choice applicable to them.
