3.9: Research Instrument. This study proposes to use a structured self administered survey questionnaire to collect the primary data from the study respondents. A Questionnaire is quantitative tool for data collection. The rationale for using questionnaire is that it is cheaper, flexible and allows for replication of the research procedure thus enhancing validity of research findings. Being a study leaning on positivist paradigm Quantitative methods of data collection will be predominant, however qualitative methods can be used within this paradigm Mertens, (2005) 3.9.1: The structure of the Survey Questionnaires 3.9.1.1 Survey questionnaire 1 This questionnaire will capture the Demographic profile of respondent, Technological, Organizational and Environmental factors. The self administered survey questionnaire will comprise of sections A-F. Section A will seek to capture demographic profile of the respondents, thus gender, age and education levels and size of the organization. The four items will be in the form of multiple choice questions in which respondents will be required to choose only one choice. Section B will seek to measure the level of adoption of E-Marketing by their organizations based on a four item multiple choice questions in which the respondents will be requires will be asked to choose only one choice applicable to them. Section C will seek to measure the Independent variables. The first item will be statements on relative advantage
The methodology was described with the data collection method. Quantitative and qualitative questionnaire which consisted of closed questions with a choice of fixed answers and free text to enhance qualitative data were sent out in the form of mailshot, followed by telephone call to non-respondents and it was repeated for more wider sample results to gain more evidence to reduce bias (Parahoo, 2006).
Qualitative method is using open-ended questioning, non-statistical research techniques, or value-based observations. In this research, three main methodologies are adopted as focus group, distributing questionnaires and conducting personal interviews simultaneously. Methods are all appropriate and contributed to a comprehensive research. The reason is that aim of this research is to acquire an in-depth understanding of
This study used a quantitative methodology of data collecting to answer the research questions. The specific research questions studied included the following:
The categories used to organize research were the questioning, data design, data collection, and data analyzing method. These methods all oblige one another to help express and develop the knowledge of this analysis. The question method is used towards the content o f research and whether or not the purpose of the research is clear. The data design and data collection methods assist with the structure and information process of the research. The previous two methods guide the data analysis method which breaks down the exploration of the research for this paper. These established methods serves as a n effective advantage in forming research no matter the case, argument, or
There are many advantages and disadvantages of questionnaires and throughout this essay I am going to examine the usefulness of questionnaires in sociological research. I will compare the advantages and disadvantages
The methodology includes the questionnaire and the survey was conducted online and the offline and the data was recorded and analyzed. In the questionnaire the questions were presented to the participants a total number of 129 people participated and the data was recorded and analyzed. A total number of eight questions were presented to the
The study is based on primary as well as secondary data. The primary data is collected through one to one survey method using structured Questionnaire.
We have chosen to conduct interviews with a set of questionnaire questions as our primary research method. The advantages of gathering information using a questionnaire is that the responses are gathered in a standardized way, making it more objective, it is also easy to analyse and understand, the data collected
In consideration questionnaire has been designed that tends to involve 5 research relevant questions taking into account Likert five-point scale ranging from strongly disagree to strongly agree notions that support respondents to provide the most authentic response. In reference to quantitative research investigation, random sampling techniques have been identified as the relevant aspect. For the purpose of research examination, sample size of 10 participants were selected from whom responses has been gathered.
As it was already mentioned in research design, one type of primary data used for this research was questionnaire. Questionnaire consisted of 18 questions and the sample size was 58 respondents.
The research will adopt a descriptive survey design approach. This approach entails utilizing the research questions as a guide to fulfilling the research objectives. The choice is informed by the lack of control or influence of the variables by the researcher. In essence, the study method entails fact finding enquires that can be implemented in different forms. In addition, the choice
As stated previously in the research design section of this paper the data collection methods used were by using survey questionnaires, interviews, focus group interviews and observations.
The research instrument of choice for this investigative study is the written questionnaire. A questionnaire is a prepared question form submitted to respondents in order to obtain information about a given topic (Beins, 2003:31). A structured questionnaire, containing questions with alternative answers from which the respondent selects, is
In survey method research, participants answer questions administered through interviews or questionnaires. After participants answer the questions, researchers describe the responses given. In order for the survey to be both reliable and valid it is important that the questions are constructed properly. Questions should be written so they are clear and easy to comprehend.
In this chapter, it presented the discussions of the research design, the procedure of conducting the study and identifying the respondents, the instrument used and statistical tools employed.
